Ves poured you a cup of water and set it on the small table. "Well, you guys are kind of like diplomats. You get privileges, such as minor discounts or access to areas normally restricted." He looked around. "I wonder where the professor is... He said he's coming up in a moment."

You look around the area. It seems that your house is situated in a small clearing surrounded by forest and tall grass, while the only other house in the clearing you assume belongs to the professor. Down the small dirt road you could see the red of a pokecenter and the blue of the pokemart. There wasn't anything of real interest.

Since the place you were currently at was quite a small place, the village down the road consisted of a pokecenter, a pokemart, and a couple of small houses. You could see nobody around.

"Ooh...that sounds neat. Could come in handy when I venture out." She took a sip of water and looked around for entrances and exits in the house where the professor could come in. "Did he say where he went before he left?"

Iist tapped rhythmically on the cup as she looked at Ves, still coming up with questions as they waited. "So, what exactly do you help the professor with, Ves? Like, any particular research? I know that professors in other regions have specific areas of expertise." She remembered hearing that the Alolan professor researched Pokemon moves, and in most others, professors specialized in different kinds of Pokemon evolution.
