World of Pokemon
You are a normal in the world of the pokemon. However, in recent times there have been reports of darker pokemon appearing, shadows of their original selves. It was until a week ago that trainers started to disappear, and you are asked by the Professor Acacia to investigate. Will you be able to sniff out the source of this sinister problem? Or, will you die trying?
This RP has spaces for 10 players, because I will be tracking all of the pokemon youve caught.
This game revolves around the real pokemon game mechanics, which means your pokemons nature, IV points, status conditions will all be calculated into the damage you cause the opponent, and all of that will also be calculated into how much damage the opponent does to you!
Catch rates, held items, experience gained will all be calculated as they are in the real pokemon games, and there will be the rare occasional shiny!
Lets go over some of the gameplay!
You have free rein of where you go, who you talk to, what you do, but, what you see, what/who you meet, the events of the story will be controlled by me.
This is how battles will work: Narrator: You have encountered a wild __________!
You will:
>Attack
>Change pokemon
>Items
>Run
You: I will attack. [your pokemon], use _________! (Attack, please use an attack that is in your move pool. You can check your move pool in your player party, which will be in your player inventory post in the first few pages. Make sure there is no Rattata use Psystrike!)
-or-
You: I will use a __________! (Item usage, please specify what youre going to use. What is in your bag will be listed in your player inventory in the first few posts. This is one turn)
-or-
You: I will swap _______ for _________! (Change pokemon, simple enough. Change your current battling pokemon with one in your team. This is one turn)
-or-
You: I try to run! (Run away, chances will be determined by random. You cannot run away from trainer/gym/boss battles. If this fails, your enemy gets to attack)
Other gameplay: Me: You walk into a town. You see a pokecenter, the pokemart, and three people standing around. One was an old man, the second was a young sportsman who was tossing a pokeball up and down, and the third was a young lady. You also see some long grass. (Your options are: go to the pokecenter, go to the pokemart, talk to old man, talk to sportsman, talk to lady, or explore long grass. Or, whatever else you can come up with)
You: I decide to explore the long grass, patting my Popplio as I go.
Using the Pokedex Me: You see a [insert picture of pokemon] by the side of the road. It looks hungry. (This will rarely happen, because usually the pokemon jump out at you from the grass. But hey, you never know)
You: I take out my pokedex and point it at the pokemon, pressing the scan button.

Rules
1. I control what you see, what you hear, and what events happen
2. What you do, who you talk to, what pokemon you use in a fight, your decisions, are controlled by you
3. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask
4. To prove you've read the rules, put that you haven't read the rules in your signups
5. I reserve the right to kick you out of this game as I see fit

7. Always ping me or I will most likely miss your post!
8. Be reasonable
9. If you to not reply to my post within 5 days, you will be eliminated from the game, and your spot will be forfeited to others on the waiting list. If you are going to be away for a long time, notify be about it and your spot will be kept
10. Please be patient if I don't reply to your posts even if I am replying to other roleplays. This is because this game requires me to use my computer, and most of the time I use my phone

Each starter has their strengths and weaknesses, so take care when you pick!

*EV points are gained in the games through grinding and fighting specific pokemons, but that would be too tedious in this game so I give you your 510 EV points. Feel free to distribute them among the 6 categories as you wish. Maximum EV points for one stat is 252, so remember that. Note that, even if a category has 0 EV points, lets say, attack, a pokemon can still have a strong attack based on its IVs and Base stats.
Everyone starts out with:
Potions x5
Pokeball x10
Pokedollars* x1000
*You earn these through quests, battling, and in general advancing in the story
Store (Found in every village/town/city, sometimes wanderers/trainers will sell things)
Potion (Heals pokemon for 20HP) - 200 Pokedollars
Super Potion (Heals pokemon for 50HP) - 700 Pokedollars
Hyper Potion (Heals pokemon for 120HP) - 1500 Pokedollars
Max Potion (Heals pokemon for full HP) - 2500 Pokedollars
Full Restore (Heals pokemon for full HP and removes all status conditions) - 3000 Pokedollars
Revive (Revives unconsious pokemon and fills half of the HP) - 2000 Pokedollars
Antidote (Removes poison status condition) - 200 Pokedollars
Paralyze Heal (Removes paralyzed status condition) - 300 Pokedollars
Awakening (Removes sleep status condition) - 100 Pokedollars
Burn Heal (Removes burned status condition) - 300 Pokedollars
Ice Heal (Removes frozen status condition) - 100 Pokedollars
Full Heal (Removes any status condition, including confusion) - 400 Pokedollars
Pokeball* (x1 catch rate) - 200 Pokedollars
Great ball (x1.5 catch rate) - 600 Pokedollars
Ultra ball (x2 catch rate) - 1200 Pokedollars
Repeat ball (x3 catch rate for pokemon already registered in the pokedex. Otherwise, x1) - 1000 Pokedollars
Timer ball (x4 catch rate for battles that last longer than 10 turns) - 1000 Pokedollars
Nest ball (catch rate increases as the lower the wild pokemons level is compared to your leading pokemon) - 1000 Pokedollars
Net ball (x3 catch rate for water or bug type pokemon. Otherwise, x1) - 1000 Pokedollars
Dive ball (x3.5 catch rate if used underwater or on water dwelling pokemon. Otherwise, x1) - 1000 Pokedollars
Escape Rope (Escapes from any dungeons/caves/indoor areas immediately) - 1000 Pokedollars
