Ase~ Ward C

"Alright." She smiled following him. "He asked me to marry him..."

Aydan could do nothing to conceal the smile that spread across his face. "Seriously? When? How? What were you doing? Did you say yes? Am I invited to the wedding? When is the wedding?"

Just then a worried looking scientist began to walk past them carrying a plate with completely uneaten fish on it, muttering something about how "That girl is going to end up starving herself". Aydan stopped him with one hand. "Who are you talking about? He asked the scientist".
"Oh, um, you know that scientist who got arrested?"
Aydan nodded.
"Well, one of his experiments, a young girl, got moved to this area afterwards, and she refuses to eat!" He shook his head. "The poor thing"
"Where is her room?" Aydan asked.
"Four rooms down on the right, but if you can get her to do anything but curl up in the corner and growl and hiss at you it will be a miracle" The scientist walked away,
Aydan thought that the girl was as good a place to start as any. He started to walk down the hall toward the door that led into the girl's room

Itri woke up to find his father gone. He changed into the pants that he normally wore and fixed himself a bowl of cereal before curling up next to the bookshelf in Aydan's office with his kindle and started to read, like he did almost every day.

Ase~ Ward C

She smiled and giggled some. "He asked this morning while we were in bed." She put a hand over her mouth. Her tail flicked embarrassed. "Not like that alright." She said blushing under her fur. "I went to put him in the bed and ended up staying there watching over him I fell asleep and woke up there as well. He asked me and I said yes. The wedding will be tonight in my office, your invited but don't tell anyone else alright?" She asked.

"Why not?" Aydan asked. "Some of the scientists here aren't half bad, even if most of them are. Like that guy we just ran into. I think his name is Nathaniel or something. Although I suppose if you don't want to tell anyone that's your choice. I won't tell" They arrived in front of the door. "Shall we?" He asked, gesturing towards it. "She might get nervous if we both go at the same time, though."

The girl heard footsteps outside the door, and recognized the voice from the other day that had interrupted the person the was knocking morse code to her. She growled.

Ase~ Ward C

She flicked her tail again. "I guess if you want to you can but anyone but Milo can come. I want it to be small, nothing too fancy." Ase nodding in hearing the next part. "You're a father you should have the right to go first, if she won't talk then I'll try alright?"

Aydan nodded. "Okay" He responded, answering to both the first and second parts of what Ace had said. He swept his key card in the lock to open the door and slipped in, leaving the door slightly ajar so that Ace could see what was going on.

The girl hissed as the door opened, but stopped when she saw the person who had opened it. He was not like the other scientists she had seen. He didn't appear to be human. After examining the new, strange man, she began to hiss and growl again.

Aydan crouched down in order to hopefully be less intimidating towards the child. "Oh you poor thing" He muttered under his breath. The girl's body was laced with stiches and scars, and her skin was patchy and burnt. She had long, matted black hair that stuck up in all directions. The long, reptilian tail that was wrapped around her body protectively had black fur sticking up between the cracks in the scales.She had bags beneath her eyes that suggested restless sleep.

The girl backed up farther into the corner and growled louder. Why wasn't this man going away?

"Hello, little one." Aydan said kindly, slowly approaching the child while remaining crouched,

The child hissed again and swiped at him with one of her hands.

Aydan stopped moving, but didn't retreat. He sat down instead. "I understand that you haven't been eating recently. Aren't you hungry?"

The girl thought for a second. This man didn't seem threatening, but she had made that mistake before. then again, if she didn't answer he might get angry. She nodded nervously.

Ayda smiled. "The strong silent type, eh? Just like my son. Can you not talk at all, then?"

The girl shrugged slightly. She just wanted this man to go away. She tried growling again.

Aydan frowned. He had thought that she was starting to warm up to him, but apparently it would take a lot more than some smiling and kind words get close to the girl. "Do you want to try?" he asked Ace, turning his head towards the door.

Ase~Ward C

She craned her head to peek into the room. "Maybe if we bring Itle down here then he could talk to her?" Ase suggested. "They are both kids after all." In her mind it made sense but then again half the time what made sense to her may not make sense to others. She had never been that good with kids this young, she had always been a teen type of person, or even newborns. Hopefully that would change soon, if they were going to have children (it was a faint glimpse in their eyes at this point) then she needed to learn to like kids. "If Itle can get her to at least talk that would be helpful, but if not then there is a lot of work to be done to get her to come around,"

Aydan nodded. "That would make sense" he said. "He was actually talking to her threw the door the other day. Well, not talking, per se, but he was knocking on her door in morse code. I don't know how he got so friendly with her so quickly".

Ase~ Ward C

"Kids are just that way I guess." She smiled her tail flicking some as she thought. "Hopefully he can help at least get her to eat if nothing else."

Aydan nodded again before exiting the girls room and closing the door. "Stay here" he instructed Ase. He speed walked back to his office. "Hey Itri, would you like to help me and Ase with something?"

Itri looked up from his book and nodded. He followed his father to the girl's room and awaited further instruction.
