Sorry, but I just couldn't think of anything with these topics to write about in the time given. I'm explicitly not asking for any extension because I doubt anything would come to me anyway, and I don't want to make everyone wait for me.
I also don't want to write something insultingly short and uninspired for your contest so I guess I'll just be dropping out. My apologies. :c

aww entropy *hug*
you can pull a Soltra8 on this if you want? and not go by extension, only catch is, you can write, but there won't be any rewards.
(totally did not name something after our buddy Soltra8)

3. 'The Rise of Vylexul'
A young Draeyl plummeted to the ground, wings and horns aflame.
The second pet to exist, and no one knew a thing about him.
The Draeyl wandered the land, wondering from where he came,
Then eventually he decided to take off his armor, going for a swim.
The pool he swam in was no ordinary pool,
It filled him with knowledge and strength,
Enough to win any duel.
The Draeyl swiftly got out to run a length.
He snatched up his armor, and dashed towards the setting sun,
Realizing there was someone who needed help getting some work done.
(I wanted to try writing a poem)

Welcome to the third round! If you got PINGED, it means you have passed, so congrats!
THIRD ROUND STUFF
Congrats for making it this far.
The next prompt...:
'mails/letters', 'diaries' 'acting...', 'persona', 'in-character' and 'theatrics'
You are given a few selections in which you take on a role of a character in which you will mimic the language/speech of the time it would have been located in......please list above your entry which one you are going with...i recommend you go with 'diaries' or 'mails/letters'...so feel free to do a quick research of how they may have spoken during that time period....feel free to pick a historical character...:
1. You are *acting* as William Shakespeare...
2. You are *acting* as Mary the First (aka Bloody Mary)
3. You are *acting* as Albert Einstein
4. You are *acting* as Queen Nefertari Meritmut
5. You are *acting* as Paul Revere
6. You are *acting* as Socrates
7. You are *acting* as Martin Luther King Junior.
8. you are *acting* as Galileo Galilei.
You have some more selections to pick from this time, feel free to do some research on these characters. As well as, don't worry, you won't be heavily judged on how well you are able to 'sound' like them or 'take on their roles'. Though, I am *hoping* you should have enough idea of what they would or would not do or what they are well known for, or at least be able to pick up 'events' from their life to write about.
you do not have to be too accurate since no one knows what they would do in their spare time or so...just do not suddenly throw a bunch of martians from space in or include working electronics if that time period would not have it...lmao.
but i recommend...maybe...:
-have them write a journal/diary
-have them write/address a mail/letter to someone.
-take an excerpt from their 'daily lives' and write it in as if you are them.
-..or just pick to write what you want in their voice/viewpoint...
Have fun, you all have shown you are able to write...now lets see you try and write from a historical figure's viewpoint/role....
(Disclaimer: sorry i can't make all prompts easy and such, there has got to be some hard ones here and there...hope you'll understand, would've loved to make them all easy but its not a contest like that, sorry guys!...though if it helps, the next round's prompt will be sweeter)

After a small talk with some of the writers...I have extended the deadline to:
November 8th, 2015, 10:35AM (game time)
...since it seems you may take some times grabbing the role of the characters and as well as you'd probably need to do research...

Question, am I allowed to only do the people you've listed or can I do someone else. Like, say, Ernest Hemingway?
