She was still outside, already running back inside and curling up. "I d-don't know! It just popped up in my mind, interrupting my train of thought so you saw it too.."

Shade remembered. "So we did go to the same orphanage! We actually did! We've known each other since we were kids! Can you believe that!?" Shade had a surprised and shocked expression on his face. >O<

"R-Remember when you injured that man so badly he died?" She looked up, trying hard to hold back tears.

Tears filled his eyes. "Yeah.....yeah I do.....I wish I could forget already........but yeah...." He runs a hand through his hair.

She looked him straight in his eyes. "That... was my f-father.."

Shade stared at her. "Oh.....um......I'm sorry.......I was a kid......I didn't understand what my powers could do yet.......I'm so sorry......" He looks at her sadly. "I didn't understand......I felt ever since.......I...i.....wasn't able to live with that.....s-sorry....." He looks down trying to avoid making eye contact.

"Yeah, me screaming no repeatedly and trying to hold you backk totally didn't tell you not to kill him." He would see the scene of a tiny Tess screaming at Shade to stop freezing her dad, but when he summoned his sword it was too late. She pulled on her boots and grabbed her bow and arrows, preparing a bag of food and water bottles. "I'll be gone for a while."

"And where's that?" He asked, still looking at the ground. He hugged his knees tightly to himself.

"Who the hell knows." She exited the building, walking into the forest, climbing a tree and jumping from the branches to the next.

Shade sighed. As if his past was hard enough. He laid back in his bed and fell asleep. This time, he dreamed. He was a young boy walking home from school. He saw a man beating a little girl. He stepped out to protect her, raging and killing the man. The little girl was telling him to stop, but Shade was too convinced he was evil. He was determined to protect the little girl. Which he did, but the man fell down, with a deep bloody gash over his heart, and his legs frozen over. It was too late....
