You hear a loud crash from the front door, something like glass shattering.
Carah jumps up from where she's eating in surprise and growls at the front door.

You hear a noise like a click that gets cut off in the middle, as if someone was trying to open something or trigger a mechanism but failed.

In front of the door is shattered glass. You can't tell where it came from, but something must have broken. As you watch, the doorknob wiggles. Someone must be trying to get in.
Do you wake Cobalt up or deal with it yourself?

I debate that for a second.
If I wake Cobalt to help me out he won't get any sleep. Besides he is already injured.
If I don't wake him and I deal with it myself, I will probably get injured myself.
Deciding not to wake Cobalt, I prepare myself for battle.

As the handle wiggles again, you hear that half-clicking noise.
Carah bares her teeth at the door, her fur fluffed up angrily. It seems she is ready to fight as well.
