Tyvern Villager: Hah, good luck with that. Some barbarian scorched our fields, and destroyed a whole season's worth of crops. It'll be a miracle if you manage to get everyone settled.

The sparrow chirps, and flies a short distance ahead of you. Then it perches on a branch and cocks it's head at you.

You find that the way across the river is a wooden log. However, water has taken its toll, and now the wood is unsteady, ready to crumble. The river itself is a fierce rushing torrent, trying to carry everything that falls in away into the unknown.
What do you do now?

I stand underneath it and look it the direction it was looking, pricking my ears up for any unusual sounds, spear at the ready to attack.

There's a rustle, and then something appears. You sigh upon realizing that it's just a squirrel. It leaps away, but its claws dislodge something. You see a glint of shining metal.

The two of you push ahead of the crowd, and you see the scorched fields. It looks like it was demolished with one gigantic flame. Moresoever, there are large clawmarks in the earth.
Tyvern Villager: They're sayin' that there was a great roaring, but by the time they got here that was all that's left.

I scratch my nape sheepishly/ It seems like it would be a dragon that did that. I will still find it. I can capture the beast if I try hard enough!

Raael: This is the only way across. the Hunters torched the other bridge, since they did not want people going too near the Borders. That's because my kind and all the fantasy creatures lurk outside of your little Forest haven. I can cross quite easily, but it'll be a problem for you. Well, here's a little magic lesson that hopefully you'll master, unless you want to end up under the river. Think of where you want to land, and how. You can draw out some calculations in the dirt. Once you do that, just think of that flight and landing, and map it out in your head. then say "Ysmet" and jump.
