I feel Jackson pull me closer, and I willingly snuggle my bloody self into him, still only half conscious. One of my arms throbs, and I let it hang limp. It's probably broken. I slowly calm myself with the pleasant, safe scent of Jackson.

Elissa grinned. "Alright," she said, walking back towards where she had last seen the others. "Hey, want me to carry that?" she called over her shoulder.

"Nah. When we get back to the group, don't tell anyone I was about to leave." Blue said.

"Heh, no problem. As long as you don't tell them how much I suck at pep talks," Elissa said, staring around them at the sea of ashes and scorched rocks.

"I won't." Blue said plainly. She looked down at the box of weapons then looked away. "I really never wanted to bring these out again." She mumbled.

Once I am completely sure that Jackson is still with me, and not a figure of my imagination, I draw away from him to see how badly I am bleeding. There are several deep cuts on my back and arms, as well as my broken arm and countless huge purple bruises from where Nova kicked me. I grimace as I see the whip cuts and the huge gash down my side from when I fell and scraped against a really sharp rock. I also am covered in all types of blood, grit, and a LOT of burns. My clothes are ripped in many places, but luckily Nova left enough of my shirt to cover my chest. My shorts are fine except for a long rip on the left side.

"Are you okay? What am I saying, you're not okay!" He looked away, his face red. "We need to get you to Blue, she'll know what to do..."
