(I meant if you wanted to skip through the walk home and stuff, sorry I wasn't clear enough)

Blankets were passed to the people that were still on the bridge before you get a good night's sleep despite the rough surface you had to sleep on.

You are now well-rested as snowflakes starts to drift down onto Mirance.

You recognized the man from last night passing by and it appears he's going to see how much damage was done. Some of the people who had also stayed the night started to peel off from the group and went elsewhere. Others were still asleep or planning what do after what happened.

(Pinky sounds like a great person though)

He shakes your hand and then gestures to the area around you. "Right here. I haven't finished talking to my friend yet. If I am not here after you have completed your task, you can simply ask Omar, he knows where I live. Is that all?"

(No)

There were chocolate recorders that could actually be played, warm candies shaped like flames that melted a thin sugar floss cloud that 'rained' on it, and rock candies shaped into thin petals.

Within around two minutes, the Archian finished ordering and the younger ones were already devouring the sweets and getting ready to burst with sugar.

(Sure, skip sounds good ^^)
I see the men surveying the buildings. That's good, maybe they'll be able to fix the damage sooner rather than later. Too tired to stay up much longer, I drift off to sleep.

"Same to you," he says and waves good bye as he walks away.
The situation on the ravaged street seemed to have calmed. Some buildings were still burning and debris littered the floor, but they're being take care of. From what you could see, the strange people seemed to have their fill of fun and had left.

Do you wish to skip to the morning or test if you actually can hold against a couple of criminals?

(Keep in mind that your character currently has no combat skills. The second option might give him some and/or injuries.)

(whoops, lol!)
I stand up, stretching and making sure to stay out of the way of the other people on the street. It's probably about time I walked home, and I don't want to stick around the crowd much longer. People never really worked out much for me. I sigh, preparing for a considerably rough day- what with all the chaos yesterday. Watching out for the people on the street, I begin the journey home.

There was only a small trickle of people passing by, so you didn't have to watch out for them much.

A couple of the burnt buildings were completely devastated while some had more luck and only had to endure minimal damage like the library you worked at and the majority being the middle of the extremes.

Some of the workers repairing the buildings talked hopefully about the repairs and the rest just grumbled on about the back-breaking labor. The merman you saw earlier entered the library, most likely to see if the books inside were okay. Other than that, nothing of interest seemed to happen as you walked back home.

It didn't take long before your home greeted you as you went inside.

(It's up to you what his home is like, as long as furniture and such are within reason. I can make up a description if you want me to.)

I step inside- it's good to be home at last. The place is nothing fancy, but welcoming enough. The living room, in which I spend a good portion of my time on an average day, is just as I left it- a small stone fireplace, a couple of bookshelves, a desk and chair, and a large sofa. There's a small portrait of my parents and a much younger me hanging on the wall- the only image I have of them. I suppose that much reminds me of a happier time in my life. I pick up a book from the nearest shelf, a study on Blood magic by a Mirance scholar, and sit down on the couch. It is mildly interesting, as expected...... it's good to be home.

(Exactly xD
By the way, how do cities work in Excogitari? I know the continent I'm on, and the country. Are cities just a kind of vague/random thing, and it doesn't really matter exactly which one you're in?)

"I won't take up any more of your time," I say to the two, holding up my hands placatingly. "I'll see you both later then."

I turn to walk away. Time to find Omar. I head out of the meeting place and try to locate Adom's home. An overly aggressive cat shouldn't be too hard to find, surely?

On my way, I'll take in the streets around me. This is a good chance to get a better idea of the layout of this city. Also, more importantly, I need to keep an eye out for Omar in case I pass him.

Either way, if I don't see the adventurous delivery boy on my way I can just wait around Adom's home when I get there. I should be able to tell if I've missed him or not if the palm wine has been delivered yet.
