Part A: Song #15
Part B: Song #8

Hey Baney! This is so rushed because horrible time management skills but I had fun with it! And even though it gets really rushed, especially in the end, I think I'm still kinda proud of it.

laughs in bad writer

Just some information before, the setting is a fictional country but it's loosely based on Ancient China. Not 100% accurate, but I kept things [last name] [first name] and having the woman keep her maiden name after marriage. Hahaha time is really getting away from me, here's the link!

edit: Oh, and head's up. No glaring issues but the formatting is going to look weird if you're on mobile.

--
Painted skies glared down at the deserted city. Crumbling walls barely stood against the strong wind, shadows cast across the empty skyscrapers as the sun set beyond the arid, swaying hills of dry grass. Stars were creeping into the spreading darkness. A scream filled the dead air as a girl rushed from a silver, metal building at the very edge of the city. She was sprinting with no clear destination- pure fear in her mind, adrenaline swimming through everything else. Her vision greyed.
She yelled for help in a language no longer spoken- a language lost to the dying of culture, of life, of survival. No one answered her. She was crying and huffing heavy breaths in the hot air. Ginger hair matched the light-painted walls flying past her vision as she cried out in a gurgled voice once more. She took a blurred glance behind her. Crazily flashing light ran beside lavender-furred bears stamping towards her, faster, she knew, than she could ever run.
All at once, like final light slipping behind the horizon, screams, powerful yells, breached the air all around the city, coming from darkened buildings and faded cars, metal banging against metal resonated off of every surface as humans covered in scraps of machinery filled the street around the girl. They formed a shining circle. Rapid, yellow lights attached to purple creatures surrounded them like a noose around a neck. The yells strengthened.
All at once, the animals lunged.
It was a horrific scene, with worse sounds; screams dying as lungs filled with blood and throats were clamped with rabid fangs, claws and canines against flimsy, screeching metal, and the cries from the girl in the very center of it all. The fight was miraculously balanced-as if set in place by a higher power, by an unknown devine. Burly men and women clashed and crushed the frothing animals, crashing against the circle like waves against a beaches sand. Smaller, quicker, younger girls and boys zipped under and around the fighting animals, stabbing and jabbing like mad pins in a tomato cushion.
The blood was everywhere, catching the yellow light of flashing beacons from dead animals' arms. Everything was unsettlingly still. The girl lifted her head from her cocoon of her own limbs, tears fogging her vision and clinging unkempt hair to her face.
In the middle of a ruined city, in a dry, no longer wet wetland, stood a nine year old girl, crying at the loss around her, the loss of culture, of life, and of survival. The loss of humanity, of hope, and of sanity. The loss of the fight in her. Of the light in her eyes.
