Ben spread his mount threw the nearly invisible hole in the wall that had only one set of hoof prints in it that looked at least a couple of hours old. "... odd..." he mumbled while he galloped his horse threw their disturbing the dust as he did so and his sword was drawn. he expected to need to use it even if he didn't need to a drawn sword was better than a sheathed one anyway.

She followed him, seeing him draw his sword and inwardly cursing herself for not getting a sword before she left. Although she was a bit surprised to discover this secret exit to her castle.

as you exited the secret path on the other side of the wall Ben put his sword away seeing that the earlier hoofprints lead away from the castle and not down the side. "my lady we should head to the emerilith kingdom they are good friends of your fathers are they not" he said as he carefully reined in under the copse of trees in the shadow to stay hidden.

he stared at the stars and then got up as he smelt smoke coming from the palace way. "that's not good" he mumbled as he saddled the horse back up and started coming back towards the castle. "should never of left" he berated himself as he urged the horse on.

She nodded. The kingdom were good friends of her father, but the first prince always acted haughty towards her. It was clear he wanted to marry her but she always rejected him.

he nodded and started to trot the horse deeper into the forest when the sound of a horse galloping came from in front of him he drew his sword and readied for a fight.

he spotted two mounted riders not that far ahead of him and one of them drew a sword he quickly reined in his horse. "I am Hendric i fight for the crown!" he said drawing his sword also "and i will not surrender to invaders!" he shouted at the figures only 20 paces ahead of him. he could only see their outlines but he knew that they could fight and he hoped he didn't need to fight them.

Her horse freaked out and she quickly calmed it, glancing around for anything she could use. But after hearing what he said she froze. " Ben! Wait! " She called to him.

he halted as he too recognised the voice and the words. he smiled despite himself. "And if thew crown shall fall-" he started a hint of joy in his voice

he smiled aswll. "- then i shall fall defending it" he said as he hopped of his horse and bowed. "I smelt smoke so i came back to investigate." he said stiffly as if he knew more than he let on or was hiding something about his departure.

he bowed deeper. "of cores your highness." he said as he rose and looked at the castle. "so they got past me again..." he said softly barely audible then he grabbed the reins of all horses and brought them further under the trees. "they have sentries now we must leave." he said and nodded to ben. Ben went off ahead to scout the land ahead. and Hendric , who was the better fighter, stayed by your side. "we should move now your highness." he said as he mounted his horse again.
