(Im cool with that. Also if he does manage to harm her the peace aura would stop lol, so maybe he could just yeet a knife at her leg? which would make her fall and therefore easier to capture)

I couldn't say I was visiting, I had already said that I was looking for study material. Who goes to school on vacation? Maybe I did online school.. wait but then I'd just look all this up. Maybe I just moved... yeah...

I shrugged "I just moved here, ah, Intuitives were showing up all over town where we used to live. Not as uh, many Hunters in the backwoods as in the city. They were starting to get rowdy, so my mother moved us here. Were living with a relative for now." God I hoped that sounded convincing enough, maybe I could bore her into not talking too me by just talking too much...

Ugh but more talking meant more chances to slip up.

Too bad this had to happen the hard way. I withdrew my knife from my jacket, the grip was smooth in my hand.

Waterdroplets glinted menacingly from the blade, running down the edge and falling in a steady stream. I aimed at the retreating girl, her back foolishly turned to me.

A hunter. She was smart enough to know I was a hunter, and yet arrogant enough to turn a blind eye. Nothing more troublesome than a fool with wit.

I threw my knife, it arked in the air a spinning blur. If I judged the distance correctly, hopefully it would impale her leg.

Unfortunately for her, at least. It hit the back of her leg. She stumbled to the ground, turning and sending a fierce glare at him before looking back at the knife. She couldn't take it out. That would increase her chances of bleeding out. But she needed to run. She stood, pulling out her knives. She wouldn't get far. And even if she did, she would just come across another hunter. So she would stand her ground. Even with an injury such as hers, she was confident that she could take down one government dog.

Ugh. I should end this soon... I thought worriedly. This lady was smart, and pushy. Yet she still seemed bored. Okay Reuvan, focus.

"That... would have been a good idea I guess." I admitted. "But my mothers been all whipped up in a frenzy about it, and she really can't think straight right now..." I paused. Oh maybe if I talk family drama that might persuade her to leave.

"She been so... finicky since Paul left... oh uh, her husband, my dad... I guess." I said unhappily. "Its hard to convince her to do anything else once she sets her mind on something. I guess I kind of got mixed up with al. her rambles." I huffed. "Honestly, she only moved in with her sister because she's looking for some- some- some resemblance of what she thinks a normal life should look like!" I finished exasperatedly.

As soon as the knife struck I moved in. The flash of knives in her hands was interesting, most Intuitive runaways didn't have knives. [assuming her power has flickered now] I armed myself with my other knife. There was a reason I always carried two.

The power canceling handcuffs jingled happily from my belt, tauntingly. I ran at her, knife out-stretched so if she moved forward she'd stab herself, and my body angled so that my outstretched leg would make contact with her shin, unbalancing and knocking her down. [once again I'll let you decide what hits and what doesn't.]
