Avalon stopped. "You know how we are. We are pulled to nature and parks. If their are any other magic shapeshifters around they should be somewhere far from technology." She frowned again. "One might even be here. On the other hand, the technology ones will probably be in a loud bustling city full of new technology." She said slowly thinking.

"You are right." approved Orion. "The place we have the more chance to find magic shapeshifters in this city if there are any are in the parks, especially by a sunny day like today. We can start to look around here to see if someone could be one.".
He had himself suggested that they met in this park because he was drowned to nature. And he did not like very much loud bustling cities and buildings.
"But we should be careful. The tech ones could think about that too." he realized the boy. "We should try to always have some small tech things with us, to not look too supicious to them in the case they decide to try to for us".
Himself, the single tech thing he usually kept on him was a one he used for listening to music. This was one of the only good side to technology: it allowed hil to listen to his favorite songs everywhere.

Avalon thought for a moment. "That would be smart." She said. She frowned the sun shining down on her black hair turning it slightly brown. She had a device, one she could communicate and take pictures with. She pulled it out of her bag tentatively looking down at it. It wasn't much and not the newest type, but it should help her blend in better. "Let's start looking." Avalon walked slowly imitating the way she had seen other people walk for a lazy stroll around the park.

He looked up at where he thought Annalise was with a smile, waiting for a reply. he stopped fiddling with the bandages as soon as Astraeus opened her mouth, slightly embarrassed to be scolded in such a childish way. he then gave a grin, "Yes, mother" he shot back at her with a teasing gesture, "We'll be absolute angels or she'll give us an earful, okay, Annalise?" he continued grinning ear to ear.

I smiled ruefully and shook my head with mirth "Yes of course, I wouldn't dream of getting in trouble." I was starting to quite like the little kid. Although I was weary to get to close as we are at war and really Astraeus is the only person I ever dared get close to.

Orion and Avalon started walking. He looked very discretly at the people they encountered and saw in the park. If he was not especially good at lying with words, he was very good at looking dreamy or lost in thoughts, and not supicious, which was useful.
"How do you think we can recognize one?" he whispered casually to Avalon. "It would be easy to recognize one if they are in their animal form AND if this animal form is an exotic animal, but otherway... I don't know."

Nikita decided it would be harmless for her to pop out. So she came out of the bushes, and acted dog-like, just thumping her tail, and scratching her ears. She was a jackal, but she could pull off for a dog, especially with the collar. She lolled her tongue out.

"Well who in their right mind would come out in their animal form if they were an exotic animal." Avalon said with a laugh. She turned her head toward the noise and saw a animal that looked like a dog. Seeing the collar, she assumed it was a dog roaming around freely. The talk of different animal shapes did make her a bit suspicious and she kept one eye on the dog-like animal.

"I don't know, maybe someone who would want to cause some mischief. Imagine the head of people if they saw a huge lion in front of them". Orion laughed.
"But I think if we saw a lion or cheetah shapeshifter in their animal form, it would be a tech one. No mage would take that risk" he added in very a very soft whisper.

He realized only then that Avalon was looking at a dog. Yes, this dog was somewhat strange, even if had a necklace. A little bit fox like. Maybe it was some kind of wolf-dog hybrid, or a cross of some of the most fox-looking like dog? He had seen a picture of a dog like this in one of his books, he was almost. But which book?

Well, it did not really matter. The dog had distracted him again, like the flowers and the clouds had before. It was more important to try to find shapeshifter. He saw children playing with a ball, some people running or walking, none of them looked especially like a shapeshifter. Well, the problem was that shapeshifters looked like regular persons most of the time. He did.


(I just looked up for picture of jackals to see if he would recognize one immediately or not as animals and nature are among his interests, but he is not really expecting to see a jackal here. I know how it looks like as I have seen some before but did not remember all the exact details, especially if it was wolf-like enough to be mistaken for a wolf dog breed or a hybrid by someone who knows animals]. And I learned from articles that we have wild jackals in my country since at least december :o I want to see one! Yes, this is spam, but... Wild jackals! So cool!)
