"I do believe ten years exploring this forest gives me a higher chance of living than you, I happen to be male, Harper, and I also am not a pack animal. I can't help that life sucks, nor that I was chosen to carry a hunk of metal around with a tiny piece of a common rock. I'd give it up any time." I say, almost losing my calm voice. Ten years of solitude, ten years of foraging, ten years of being alone. What does this do to a person?

"It's an expression, because apparently being a girl is a bad thing" Aitan said. "Harper, I hope you don't mind, but it's pretty clear that this disorganized wreck of a group needs a leader, and I plan on trying to maintain at least some of the little organization we have here" He said, turning to Harper

Too many people. I drop back, leaping silently through the trees away from them.

Vi was confused on what was going on.

(I seriously am confused.)

I pick up a new stick, and stab it hard. Really hard. It splits in two, and a quiet smile takes over my face. The inside of the wood is soft and there is a bit of sap inside. I quickly pull out a vial, and fill it with the sap. I will use it for a type of resin so I can polish my knives later. I lick the edge of my knife cautiously, careful not to spill a sweet drop of the nectary sap. It tastes really good. I then grab a thick piece of bark, and start carving in the runes I made up when I was seven to entertain myself. I write a list of names for my new sword. I like the last one, Dodsbringeren. Bringer of death.

Oh dear, Aika said concerningly

I blush slightly, seeing someone staring at me. I say,
"Oops." I guess that was a bit violent, but what can I say. I see the Josh guy running off, and I move as if to take a drink of water, but instead I stick my sword in the water, and it turns to ice. I guess this is nice. I suddenly sprint, taking off in the underbrush, madly jumping until I am a suitable distance from the other people. I let myself take a quick breather, then run for a mile or so until I decide to climb a tree and wait for the others.

I drop into a tree next to Finn.
"They can't catch us" I smirk.

"No kidding." I smirk,
"So full of themselves. Trying to classify me as a mere, 'I'm better than you' person." I snap an arm length branch off of the tree, and set to work skinning it. I can use this for a fire poker or something.

(Aitan is trying to keep the very uncooperative group together and pretty much become the 'leader')

"We should probably think of some sort of plan on how to get to... wherever it is we're going" Aitan said to the group
