Aydan watched Ase leave and smiled. He hurried back to where he left Itri, only to find that he had moved across the hall and was knocking on some random door.

Not noticing his father's presence, Itri continued with his knocking.
".-- .... .- - / .. ... / -.-- --- ..- .-. / -. .- -- .?" He asked, before knocking out his own name.

The girl thought for a second before knocking back:
"-. --- / -. .- -- ."

Itri didn't know how to respond to that, which was probably for the best, as he father turned him around to face him.
"What are you doing?" Aydan asked worriedly.
Itri shrugged.
"What is there was a bad guy behind that door? Didn't I tell you not to talk to strangers?"
Itri looked down.
Aydan sighed. "Well come on. I still have to show you around the lab". He grabbed Itri's oversized hand and led him through the hallways once more as Itri looked back sadly at the door.

The nameless girl heard an agitated voice from outside. After a few moments the voice stopped, and she heard two sets of footsteps walking away from her room. She curled back up into a ball, alone yet again.

Ase~ Ward C~ room 1165

Sleep soon took over her though it didn't stay, she was too worried. If her-her boyfriend as Milo called him really was growing more powerful then what if he got too powerful and ended up dead? No best not to think of that. And their child? What of it? Well that is when they go to have one. There was no telling what it would come out with. She curled closer to Marcurio. Maybe one day they could cuddle together in their own bed, in their own house. He wrapped a gentle arm around her hugging her close as he slept. A soft purr rumbled in her chest, perhaps that dream could come true.

Aydan looked at his watch and sighed. It was late. He led Itri back to his office and into the makeshift bedroom that stemmed of of it. He put Itri into the small bed and tucked him and read him a bedtime story before heading back into his office, changing into flannel pants (his pajamas), and plopping down onto the black leather sofa that he used as a bed.

The girl blinked the sleep from her eyes, but couldn't stay awake for long. Reluctantly, she crawled into her bed, tunneling under the layers of sheets and blankets that she had been given and wrapping herself in them tightly, their fabrics soft against her scarred skin. Before long, she fell into a fitful sleep.

She woke up with a start and let out an ear piercing screech. She couldn't remember her nightmare, but she that it was probably for the best. Her stomach growled again, and she eyed the fish that still lay by the door, but she didn't give into the temptation. Instead, she wrapped herself even tighter in the blankets and shivered, yet didn't fall back asleep.

Aydan lurched upwards and covered his ears. What was with that screaming? The experiments in this section of the lab tended to be relatively quiet. He looked in the other room to check on Itri, and found that he was still asleep somehow. Aydan sighed and left his office, locking the door behind him. He knew that he wasn't going to get any sleep for a while after hearing that scream, so he figured he'd walk around for a while.

Ase~Ward C~ Room 1165

She jerked some in her sleep having been startled by the scream. Probably just someone having a bad dream, hopefully that was all. Ase yawned and stretched some seeming at that split second to be more of a cat than a human.
"I swear you act more like a cat every day." The man next to her laughed with a wide smile on his face. The cat hybrid hlared at him before smiling back.
"And you get sassier." She said putting her head on his chest. Marcurio hugged her close his arms around her.
"Naturally." He joked chuckling. He grew silent for a moment before speaking again. "Ase..." He started. "There's something I've been meaning to ask you."
"Yes?"
"Wo-will you marry me?" He asked meerly whispering it in her ear. The woman smiled looking up at him for a moment.
"I thought you would never ask." She purred kissing him on the lips. Slowly she pulled away standing, her tail flicking a bit. "I'll see you tonight then." She purred before leaving the room. She needed to find Ayden. With haste she made her way down the hall. "Ayden?" She said knocking on his door.

Aydan had returned from his midnight wanderings, and was in his office. He walked over to the door rubbing the sleep from his eyes and opened it. "Yes?" he asked, looking down at Ase.

"Of I'm sorry did I wake you?" Ase said holding her tail in shame. She waited a moment before speaking again. "Did you hear the screaming? Is Itle alright, he's not hurt is he?" She asked concerned.

Marcurio~ # 1165~ Ward C~ Room 1165

Stretching he climbed off the bed walking over to the wardrobe that stood near the door. Entering the bathroom he quickly showered and changed. Stupid uniform. His number was written down the side of his pants and on both arms of his shirt. He towel dried his hair before tying it back. It was easier to keep it long than to cut it over and over again. Ase nagged him about it all the time. 'You can grow a head full of hair and never cut it but you can't grow facial hair to save your life!' This thought caused him to stroke the stubble with was a goatee on his chin. It wasn't much but it was something. He was still a bit sore from yesterday's 'examination' but it was nice to know that he now had more magic types than just fire. He hadn't shown them but his magic of fire had grown stronger as well but only because he used it. Practice makes perfect. At this he smiled and snapped his fingers a flame sprouting from his finger tip. It would be nice to actually be able to use it. To imagine the look on Milo's face when he got a lightning bolt right to the back.

Aydan shook his head. "No worries." He said. "I've been awake for a few minutes now, I just haven't changed out of my pajamas yet. Anyway, about the screaming, I don't know who that was. I don't think Itri could scream even if he wanted to. He's never made any noise before, and he only opens his mouth (or shows any signs of having a mouth) when he eats. I hope it was just someone having a bad dream, but I was going to go look around, just in case."

Ase~ Ward C

"I'll come with. If it's Milo again I swear I'm going to kick that mans a-butt." She said correcting herself last minute. "I'll wait outside for you to change then." She smiled. Truth be told she herself never wore anything to bed after all she was covered in hair that covered up everything. She slept in nothing half the time so it was easy to just get up and throw on some pants and be done with it. If Marcurio moved into her office though then she would have to steal a pair of pjs from him.

Aydan closed the door and changed into his usual outfit: simple black pants, a white button up shirt, and a lab coat. He came out of the office, careful to lock the door behind him. "The screaming sounded pretty close, so it was probably coming from this hallway or one next to it" He said to Ase.
