I like to take solace in the thought that most newbies have done this (my sister admits she has, maybe I should have warned her)... When I first started I would fight to make money and every time I had 1000g I would buy a trap. I wouldn't get over 1000g for a while, then when I needed money I didn't really have it. I didn't really think it through lol.
