Unfortunately, the person continues to make quite a few more comments. "How do you accidentally end up here while trying to get to reception? It's all the way at the bow, and we're nearly over in the stern. Second deck, giant desk in the middle, couldn't miss it even if you were blindfolded. Goodness, even asking the nearest person would've gotten you that answer quickly. Of all the places to get lost in, it's nearly impossible to do that here."

They eye you up and down with suspicion, which ends up looking rather amusing considering how much shorter they are than you. "Not to mention that someone should've stopped you for clearance by now. You're not allowed to be here, you know, and it seems unlikely you accidentally wandered here. Are you a spy, perhaps? An agent from the Conservatory? You've got no luggage on you--unusual for a traveler or passenger who hasn't checked in, hmm. Perhaps I'd better take you to reception myself."

While they're talking, you notice that everyone passing by seems to be dressed in formal uniform with some sort of bright red accessory--including your interrogator, who has a red sash tied around their waist. Despite the orderly bustle, it's not so crowded that you couldn't get through, and there's quite enough space to slip by in any direction you want.

Hello hello I'm alive again :D could I be added to the wait list please?

Character Name
Calypso Lavande

Gender
Female

Age
18

Appearance

Rapier (it was meant to be in the sheath holder belt thing at her hip, but my drawing attempts all ended up looking like vaguely crooked sticks):
https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/X2YAAOSwWjRkd1Ar/s-l1600.png

Personality
Calypso is soft-spoken and generally tries to blends into the background. She's skilled at remaining level-headed and presenting a collected front when emotions run high, as she believes that appearances are everything and cares greatly about what others think of her. However, she's also an act first think later type of person which, more often than not, causes her to make impulsive decisions that she comes to regret. As such, Calypso is no stranger to twisting the truth to get her way, relying on winning smiles and honeyed words to salvage an unfavourable situation.

Bio*
N/A

Ambition(s)*
To remember who she was before the Great Ravelling

Weapon/Tool of Choice*
Rapier

Ability & Relic*
A silver ring with a deep blue centre stone that feels warm to the touch; worn on her right hand. It can answer up to 3 yes/no questions a day, including rhetorical questions (e.g. "Can this day get any worse?"), but excluding ones directed at other people. If the answer to a given question is yes, the stone will glow a bright white (bright enough to partially light up a dark room); if the answer is no, it will fade to a dull gray and cool down. The gem will return to its original colour and temperature after 4 seconds.

As you flounder around, hanging onto the wooden plank, the sound suddenly fades away into silence just as quickly as it appeared.

In the meantime, you manage to splash over to the next closest piece of wood, which is slightly smaller than the first one. Paint the same shade of blue is flaking off it, and you make out faint traces of what might have been gold paint on it as well. You find that if you hang onto one plank with each arm, you can rest for a bit with only the occasional kick of your legs to keep your head above water.

Just as you get yourself almost situated, you hear it again--the same low call, now much louder than before. In the distance, you suddenly realize there's a shape coming toward you: you can't make out what exactly it is thanks to your blurry eyesight and the lack of illumination, but it casts a huge, dark outline above the water that's growing closer every second.

(Should've brought Fisher by now they would have killed every big sea creature in the area and spawned a new ship out of sheer willpower)

You find the nearest attendant struggling to help a passenger wrangle their luggage into an overhead rack. Whatever's inside their bag, it's about 3 feet long and squirming furiously. Through a mesh opening, you catch a glimpse of a golden eye.

Together, the two of them manage to heave it securely over the edge just as you approach. The attendant, panting, brushes her hands off on her vest and turns to you once you're out of earshot of any concerned passengers. "We'll be passing through a large stretch of open grassland out in the middle of nowhere, so the biggest threats should just be wild creatures." She lowers her voice to a whisper. "But I did hear something about there being some valuable cargo on board, so I wouldn't put it past bandits to--"

The door to the gangway slides open and shut behind you as the assistant conductor strides in, spinning a ticket puncher idly around one finger. "Ah, there you are, Ligeia. Any passengers causing trouble in here?" She raises an eyebrow at the two of you. "Got concerns about something?"

"God? Is that you?" Newt yells out. If it's a sea creature, it knows he's here. He's probably not hard to miss, hard to miss the guy with the snowy-colored hair. If it's a boat, maybe he'll get picked up! Or run over, Both options are acceptable, anything over floating around in the middle of the ocean and doing nothing.

He's perfectly willing to accept his new life as a pirate if it means no more bobbing in the water.

"I'd be fine with that," he said with a smile. "I wouldn't mind a tour guide." His grin and gaze became teasing for a second before he gave a glance at his surroundings again. "Although... I would be a pretty bad spy since I don't quite blend in as much as I should," he pointed out and settled his gaze back onto them, "don't you think? I mean, you noticed that right away, didn't you?"
Even though he's pretty sure there's nothing he can say to fully convince them, he hopes he can sow a little bit of doubt.
"I don't even know what this Conservatory is. If I were a spy or an agent of theirs, I wouldn't know, since it seems like I just got hit by amnesia a couple of minutes ago." He slouched a little, hands in his pockets. "I'd understand if you don't believe me though. I probably wouldn't either if I were you. Like I said, I'm fine with you taking me there. Saves me some trouble honestly."

(idk if he's blabbering too long here, if he is, he can save his spiel for later)
(also, did u forget to put his hand wraps in weapons?)

(Limbus Company if I have Googled correctly? :>)

Ligeia's attention lingers on the owner of the golden-eyed luggage, interest cinched by the possibility of the supernatural. The thing must be a creature of some sort, and there's much better options for transporting pets, so a monster, perhaps? Ah, she really hopes so. Either way, she'll have to get in contract with the passenger later to find out more about that package and possible sources.

Hm, maybe sooner rather than later, given the possibility of a disruption. "Well, thank you for your help," she tells the attendant, a low whisper. Her eyelashes lower in a quick wink, and her lips curve in a slight grin. "Don't worry too much, either way. I'll be looking out for the team come creatures or crooks."

The appearance of her superior signals the beginning of work, so she nods a goodbye before stepping up to the assistant conductor. "There's been nothing so far. The block is quite calm, if anything." she reports.

And since that's how things are, Ligeia doesn't mind finding herself a bit of work, outside of standing guard. "Is there anything I can do for you?" she asks. "Or should I start the amenities cart in a little?" The latter would give her the opportunity to speak with that passenger from earlier, but there's hardly any reason to fear the former. There isn't any task aboard the train that she's found distasteful during her time here.

(Just a heads up for next time, please don't change the surroundings so much--it's okay to have your character look for a cave if you want to find one, but preferably check with me before having one suddenly appear because it's kind of difficult for me to figure out what you're planning ^^")

The noises coming from within the cave are quiet, but very audible to you as you stand in the pitch darkness. It's a combination of hisses, growls, and some sort of brushing noise? Even if you squint into the dark, however, you can't make out their source. Whatever's in there has surely noticed you, what with your laughter, but hasn't shown itself. From the sound of it, though, it can't be more than 20 paces away.

Suddenly, the noises quiet down, before you catch a glimpse of something shining within the cave. There's a moment, and then it...flashes? No, as your vision adjusts to the darkness, you make out what it is: a singular silver eye. It blinks once more, but doesn't get any closer than just out of arm's reach.
There's a single low, warning hiss from the blackness, but it seems you're at a brief stalemate--unless you choose to fight or flee.

(my bad, sorry)
Lillith runs. She isn't built for fighting, and the creature, whatever it is, is menacing. And possibly deadly. So out of the cave she goes, half-tripping on rocky ground. She sighs with relief as she reaches the soft grass of the meadows again. The creature hasn't followed her. She lies down, face toward the sky, as she pictures the silver eye. She feels like she's seen it before, but she can't remember where. Oh well. Her eyes slowly close and she falls into a restless slumber.
