In the breeding grounds, you can breed two of your pets together to get a baby, or you can test breed your pets to see what are some of the possible results.
If you want to breed, choose the species, and choose the male and female that you want, and click breed pair. Tick "include adults" and "exclude recovering" only to make things easier, since any pet that is non-adult, or recovering cannot be breed.
If you want to test breed, you choose the species, choose the male and female, and click test breed. you can include hatchlings, adolsecents, or recovering pets (ie any pets can be test bred) if you want. The system will generate a random possible baby from the pair you've chosen. Note that when you actually breed the pets, the baby may not come out exactly like the test breed, since the test breed is just a possible combination of the parents.

If you need gold, the most efficient way would be to do missions. Just assign the right pet to the right missions, each mission will write which stat is required. If possible, set aside some pets to only do missions, so you can put all their level up/proficiency points into that one stat.
Technically, your pets can still function unless they're unconscious. And Jinxie will revive your pets for free once a month if your pets are unconscious. So that will give you some time to do missions to stock up on gold. Missions can also give you potions and elixirs.

At the bottom right of the battle page there is a speaker icon. Click that to off/on the sound.
