"Why wouldn't I?" she replied, smiling pleasantly. "Why, thank you sweetheart. We still haven't figured it out, but we have a lot of volunteers helping us. Follow me, and I'll show you!" she said, beckoning you towards the elevators.

The person in front of you is talking to someone else, and ignores you when you try to get their attention. You realize that Cobalt is no longer standing next to you, looking around, you see him urgently conversing with someone at the counter. The people in line don't look happy about it, but they aren't complaining.

(Prepare yourself for a whole new level of cheesiness)
"I would love to see, thanks sooo much!!" While her back is turned, I slip my knives into my sleeves, one knife, one sleeve. Then I follow her into the elevator. "Do you own this place? Because its GORGEOUS!! Oh, and tell me a bit more about you, please. I'd love to get better acquainted with such a great, appealing, genius like you!!" I gushed. I looked at her, careful to make my face a mask of heart melting adoringness, skipping into the elevator. "How do you fight when you need to defend yourself? A person like you definitely would know, and I have always wanted to learn from someone like you!!" I swooned.
My real thoughts: Ugh this is sickening will she tell me and reveal if she is evil or not.....
(Edit: oh shoot that is really cringy)
(Edit #2: Not to be annoying, but I think that you did Brooksong's personality as her backstory, and did Kittyauthor's character's personality in Brooksong's)

Her voice was sweet, but behind her smile was a look of hatred.

(Yeah, I wouldnt either; its really obvious at this point)
"Oh, I'm completely reassured, but I do want to know some self defence moves, just in case" I looked at her with puppy dog eyes (ew but whatever). "I think that you definitely know some really good ones, don't be modest!!" I stare at her like her hero, pretending to not notice her hateful looks, knowing that I have to step extra carefully.
'UGH JUST GET ON WITH ITTT' I thought, careful to keep my face a mask of honey sweet innocence. 'Be patient,' I scolded myself silently, knowing that it would probably reward me excellently.
(Edit: I have to go now, Ill probably be back in around 15 minutes)

Cobalt fishes something out of his pocket and shows it to the person at the counter, who's jaw drops.
"Mr. Swift? I thought you were-"
"Please don't call me that."
"Yes, sir, here is your ticket, sir!" said the person, hurriedly handing Cobalt a ticket with a mixture of fear and awe on their face. "If there is anything else you need, sir, just ask!"
Cobalt thanks them and turns to you. "What are you doing?" he yelped, looking surprised to see you there.

'Shoot' I think, disappointed that I didn't get to learn her fighting techniques so that I was prepared. I follow her into the room, putting on a mask of excitement.
