Eprin nodded, running an anxious hand through his hair as he listened. "Yeah, I put it right on the nightstand there," he pointed at the satchel, which didn't look like it had been rummaged through, at least not by an amateur pickpocketer. "It's late morning right now. Sun indicates eleven or so," he nodded. "And your 'quirkiness' makes sense to be, seeing as you're a Stone Elf," he grinned. It kind of annoyed you that he called you a Stone Elf and not an Eol.

"No need," Eprin waved his hand dismissively as he left again and returned shortly after with a bandage wrap. "My sister's a professional brawler, so we've got plenty of gauze," he chuckled as he approached with the wrap. "May I?" he asked before reaching down and gently pulling the lower fabric of your dress aside, being oh-so-careful not to be invasive or inappropriate as he gently wrapped up your ankle and stood to admire his work. "There," he smiled.

The old man smiled warmly and offered you a piece of bread to toss to the hungry birds. "Name's Coreth," he told you, and then scratched at some stubble on his jaw. "I'm open to listenin' if you wanna talk. I don't have anyone to tell anything," he shrugged kindly.

"I'm pleased to meet you," Camilla said a bit absently, staring out in front of her.
Did she want to talk? It felt like a bit of an odd question to her. Talking about her feelings had been forbidden. She was not worthy of having thoughts or opinions. Her job was to do chores and become a bride. That had been her life. Now...well, now she wasn't sure what she was supposed to do.
"Not sure theres much to say," she finally said, feeling as though she must say something, "I can't go home, but I'm not sure which other direction I'm supposed to take."

The old man shot you a slightly quizzical look, but then shrugged and turned his attention back to the mallards. "Well, my late wife wasn't good for much in her life, but she did always say that when one had no true destination, then any direction will take them where they want, right?" he laughed. "She was a spitfire with enough ideas to run Arctoch on for years, but no motivation or means to act upon them," he shook his head slowly, a sad smile on his face.

Camilla frowned as the old man spoke, though it was brief. She could hear her mother's voice telling her that frowning brought attention to her already poor appearance, so she quickly smoothed things back out to neutral.
"That sounds a little harsh," she said in as polite a manner as possible, "But perhaps I would do well to take your wife's advice. I am just not sure how capable I am to make such a choice."
Inadequacy...it was such a familiar feeling. Was it even possible for her to shake it off? To continue on this path before her and make a new life for herself? The alternative felt too horrible to consider, so perhaps Camilla was better off believing she had no choice.

Ochyllyss looked at him and forced a smile. Really, how hard is it to refer our race by their proper name? "I'd prefer you call our race the Eols," She said as she picked up her satchel. "I very much appreciate your kindness, I shall leave you to your work, as I believe you were doing so before my...unexpected appearance," she said, heading to the tavern exit. She stopped for a moment and turned back. "May I return here at the end of the day? Or would it be better for me to..." She blinked, looking for the right words. "...Find a settlement somewhere else? It's been a while since I've been in a human town, so I'd like to explore...however I'm not really sure I'm supposed to be here," She explained apologetically.

Coreth glanced at you again, frown etched into his already-wrinkled features. "I see you, Miss Camilla, and you seem to have working pairs of arms and hands. Working pairs of legs and feet. You can talk, you can breathe, you can see, you can hear. You can think. In what way are you incapable? Not whole? What's stopping you, dear, from standing up and walking right out of this town like my poor paralyzed wife never could?" he asked, though his tone was not harsh. Merely inquisitive.
