"Nor would I ask you to." Tails smiled at Knuckles.

"Just thought I'd be clear." Knuckles replied, showing just a ghost of a smile.

"If you don't understand tech bring it to me okay and I'll try to fix it." Tails waved his two tails.

"That's a big 'if', Tails. He's more attracted to the past then the future." Sonic remarked. Knuckles looked at him, wondering if he had just been insulted or not.

"The past had tech too you know." Tails told them.

"Yeah. Those people where my people's sworn enimies*." Knuckles pointed out. Seeing how that could easily be taken the wrong way, he quickly added. "Not that I think of you as my enemy,"

Knuckles blinked. "That's not really technology."
Sonic held up a finger. "Technically, it is. Don't go to Tails with dumb arguements."
Knuckles looked ready to comment on that statement, though Rookie changed the subject before he got a chance to.
"SO! Are we gonna try the machine soon?"
