Well, she went through a portal in the trees. Her wings had nature ruins on them, and we're slightly tinted green, which indicates she's a nature fairy.

Once she figures this out, she simply turns into a nature fairy and glides into the portal.

The girl soon comes into view, where she's handing the heartstone to a mermaid in a lake.

She summons a massive eel, which snatches the mermaid in its jaws.

They both freak out, and the mermaid quickly gives it back to the fairy, who turns to Sylve and wraps her in thorn covered vines and flying away.
