The colt freezes for a moment. He seems hesitant, but not afraid thanks to the snack he got from you earlier. He slowly leans forward to touch your hand with his nose.

Velos stayed still and let the colt sniff his hand, before moving it, while still touching the colts coat, to trail up his muzzle and stroke it.

He closes his eyes, peacefully enjoying your voice.

He pauses, eyebrows creased in thought. After a long moment, they shoot up as he remembers something. "I don't quite remember where it was, but in the mesa I once found this oddly round and smooth rock formation. It was huge and seemed quite solid, but I found a crack and wriggled my way through. That rock is really just a ring and is hollow inside. The space inside the rock is just gorgeous. If you find it, check that out for sure."

You open the box and find a tangled mess of beautiful jewelry. It looks very valuable if you could figure out how to separate the glittering necklaces, bracelets and earrings.

There is one tree towards the middle of the clearing. There are a couple of birds sitting on the highest branches, but you see nothing lower down.

He flinches as you begin to stroke his nose, but soon presses into your hand in encouragement.

I thank the horse trader and leave, saying that unfortunately I do not have enough to buy anything from him.
