She refuses to release the stone. In fact, her grip around it tightens. She turns from a shark into a human in the hopes it might help.

It doesn't. In fact, she just gets dragged down faster.

She struggles against it.

It continues to drag her. (Deep well.)

She tries to breathe, but its sort of hard for a human to breathe water.

She goes so deep she can't see the surface anymore.

She turns into a creature of her own creation- sort of like a mix of a mermaid and centaur, with a human top half and a bottom half that seems to be a kelpie, allowing her to breathe while also keeping a hold of the heartstone.

Then she gets pushed out the top of the well, heartstone less. The heartstone disappeared, and so did the well.

She immediately tries to find it again, seething.

It's no where near.
