Seth was fidgety. "You think they're ever gonna catch them?"

"Hopefully. I mean, Nicote's like some mini Einstein, he'll probably've figured something out if he's stil alive....And plus, his grandfather's an ex senator, I think they'd have the whole state looking."

"I hope they catch the assassin soon, because I can't sleep with a killer on the loose."

"I've gotten a bit of sleep but my brother...not so much. He ignored his sketchbook all day. He doesn't suually ignore his sketchbook." Mateo shook his head.

"Huh. That's really weird. Have you asked him about it?"

"I tried. He's not talking to anyone at all. He'll show up for dinner and maybe breakfast and then go straight back to mope."

"Why?"

"Dunno. Guess Ash traumatized him or something." Mateo shrugged, even though he knewexactly why. But eh wasn't going to spill out all of that. "And then showing up again at the hospital....that pretty much just made him snap I guess."

"I'm sorry. Must be rough living with a brother who lives in his room."

"Our room. We're sharing the guest room at the twins' house, I don't think either of us particularly care to stay at our own home until our parents get back. Plus, the Markers have a lot of security." Mateo shrugged. "But thanks anyways."
