"Lorenzo." he replied with his usual one worded answers. He nodded toward the smile but didn't smile back. "It's just chemistry. I understand it fine it's just the class. When will I ever need to know the molecular shape of compounds." Until he started ranting, then the replies got longer.

She gave him a questioning look, but answered before long.
"Fairly new, but what's it to you?"
She was clearly uncertain about strangers, especially when the stranger in question kept starring at her hair.
"It sparkles, so what?"

Darthia smiled. "Thank you, and nice to meet you." Then, she hesitantly asked, "Are you magical-born? Sorry if it seems like a rude question, but... I was just wondering..."

"It's.. just.. You don't often see sparkling hair around here. Just think it's cool." He forced his attention off her hair, clearly embarrassed. Don't eat the wildlife, he reminded himself.

"Wish I could say I was new too, but I've been here at least a year and a half. Just seem kind of lonely sitting in here by yourself.
You know it's lunch hour, right?"

"I wouldn't know, schools are strange," He replied back remembering when his parents had taught him and his brother, all of it was useful, "Where I came from everything I learned was useful, it was easy to learn and I always "aced" the classes," he said carefully making sure not to mess up his words, he didn't want to get caught.

Lorenzo frowned, he usually wasn't really trusting and some of the students had been rubbing him the wrong way. "What do you mean where, you came from?" He asked with a frown. His instinct and his brain were having a war with themselves right now and he wasn't quite sure which one would come out as the winner.
