I've been actually busy (well, and procrastinating to the point of making myself more busy uh) and keep telling myself not to sign up for more rps when I keep getting overwhelmed and having to back out of them in a week when my schedule changes or my pain levels go up to 11 and I can't function.
But I have no restraint.

I'm hoping this one is small enough it doesn't kill me trying to keep up with it, last military one I was in here was fun but oh god the ping storm

Now the question just remains on who I should use..

It's sleeping until my Discord stops taking two three (now) weeks to do a boss fight involving me having to DM and roll for 4 characters at once and plot an entire next arc and the rp ending on top of all of it. I have the thread saved to necro it once that mess is over.

And IDK I've always been able to keep up better with groups of 3-5. Anything under or above seems to really make me struggle for some reason especially if I can't get into it for whatever reason. I think it's just easier to follow on what other people are doing than try to write absolutely everything myself unless I know the setting super well.

I need things to actually click or my drive to write just dies, it's a pain

I do a mix: I go with the flow but have a general idea I want to happen if im the host
works pretty well so far but my rps die a lot so

I tried. My players don't feel confident enough to do it so I get stuck on antag duties generally.
They do help with minor arc stuff but I tend to have to pick up slack with a lot of side characters. Plus they like being surprised for suspense reasons..so you know.
I at least mostly got the arc mostly planned out (here, if you want to see the half-coherent sanity it be. We're almost to the point of fighting literal elder gods in space)

I seem to have a problem of either an RP lasting 6 years (seriously this sci-fi universe I swear is eternal, it's way too open ended to actually 'end' so I'm stuck with literally destroying or resetting the universe at this point), dying after finishing a single plot arc, or dying right away because no one cares about the plot.

I generally have better luck with the chat ones than anything forum based.

Yeah no, they're all really great writers, but I think I just intimidate them sometimes. One of them is currently writing a really good arc but I think we're mostly just burning out on the setting which isn't a bad thing after 2 almost 2 1/2 years of this current group.

I just write my chat ones like a forum one in storybook style and perpetually get slapped in the face with Discord's text character limit and having to send the post in multiple parts.
Because it's easy enough for me to go over 2000, let alone with 6 characters in a scene.

Doing it on a phone is pretty easy just for the fact I have one with a big enough screen I can do art on since it's been too painful for me to sit up and use my laptop much anymore.

Sylestia sucks with mobile though sometimes. I swear I've accidentally clicked myself out of pages with my phone just zooming in on the thread because it can.

And right. I've rped before with some really action averse people and it's almost torture because I feel like I can't do anything to any character at all.
I need that drama and tension with my fluff mm

But yeah, the rp going off the rails is why I really really try to stick to small groups.
I can do larger ones but it's really hard to write a coherent plot everyone actually cares about and can keep up with.

So back to this, thinking maybe I'll use X here because he's my go-to dude I throw everywhere.
(Three, maybe 4 rps all using him at once.. Now that might get confusing, hoo boy.)

I saw that, but it only goes up to 20, what I was asking mainly if I can stick a character at like 25 since he'd be already part of the organization instead of just joining.
