"I need to find the weak spot of the Night's Revenge. Sadly, those female pirates think a little more than the male ones. For right now, we have the element of surprise, and it would be disastrous to lose that early on. Should we take the longer route and attack from behind? Or should we head dead on eight he faster route, catching them just as they attack the slaver ship?" Percival sighed softly, running a hand through his own hair. This had been what was bothering him all day. That, and as always his anxiety came to kick him in the shins before a battle. His mind never let go of those days in that crate, cramped, cold, starved. When he was taken out, he was beaten and was nothing more than entertainment until they could sell him off for more coin.
Tonight he wanted to end the Night's Revenge's voyage once and for all. It would be one less ship plaguing the seas. His hands started shaking, and he mentally cursed himself for it. He wouldn't let himself panic right now, not when he needed to be as calm as can be.

Maxwell Heavens | First Mate | Navy | Location: Captains quarters | Interactions: Percival
Maxwell thought for a moment and said, " If we attack them from behind, that area of the ship would be a little more well built don't you say? The ship was built for speed if I recall, attacking it head on or at the sides would sink it, and leave the crew dead. I would think the sides of the ship be build a little less sturdy so it is faster.
If we attack from behind, they might have a chance to escape with a working ship. " Maxwell explained, to him that sounded quite logical. The element of surprise was important but doing this wrong would cost them. He just hoped what he was thinking was the right was to go with this. It would be tragic to let those god-awful pirates back on the seven seas. People like them should be slaughtered mercilessly without even a hint of remorse.
It was then Maxwell noticed Percivals quivering hands, his almost.. hurt expression. He'd never seen him like that.. well, that wasn't entirely true. He seen him in this state almost every time they were about to battle and it worried him so. After much mental debating he placed a delicate and gentle hand on the Captains shoulder to comfort him. He didn't know what Percival was so worried about this but he brushed it off, it wasn't his business. " It is going to be alright, sir. " He said, not knowing exactly what else he could say to help him.

For everyone who needs a summary: The Night's Revenge is approaching a slaver ship, planning to sink it and free the slaves. The men will be put ashore in one of the many under-the-radar towns for escaped slaves, as well as the women who choose not to join the crew. The Navy has gotten wind of this attack plan, and they're prepping their ship to sail out an meet them. The battle's about to start.
Sorry this is super long, but I wanted to get the battle started to make it more interesting for y'all.
Honor | First Mate | Pirate | Location: Helm | Interactions: Maxine
Honor wasn't afraid of death - she danced with it on a daily basis, after all. Even so, her stomach was a tight bundle of nerves as it always was before a battle. She forced herself to relax her grip on the wheel, and her white knuckles faded back to their normal color.
They were within range of the slaver now. She had spotted them as they ran up the colors and turned to run, but she rode low in the water, weighed down and slowed by the slaves and cargo she carried. The crew of the slaver was beginning to toss barrels and chests overboard, leaving them to wash up against the Night's hull. The slaver has opened the gun ports along either side, but the Night had over twice as many cannons and even more people to man them.
"Forward cannons!" Honor shouted. The order was relayed by a woman hanging between the maindeck and the deck beneath it, and on to the crew at the two cannons in the front of the ship. They were already loaded, their six-person crews waiting for the signal.
Honor waited, judging the distance with a trained eye. They could strike the slaver from this distance, but she wanted to do damage, not just give glancing blows.
"Hold," she muttered under her breath, for her own benefit rather than the crew's. "Hold... hold... FIRE!"
The last word was roared as loud as she could. The proxy cried it again, and two loud booms came within seconds of each other.
"Reload!" she shouted. "Fire!"
The cannons released again, white clouds billowing from the front of the ship. The back of the slaver exploded, wood flying into the water, one cannonball shattering the glass of the main cabin's window. They were using solid iron balls, meant to smash through a ship's hull and cause as much damage as possible.
The Night was also loaded with several other types of ammunition, which sat ready in the middles of the two cannon decks. There were oilcloth bundles containing dozens of small shot, not unlike what would go in a pistol or rifle, intended for the enemy ship's crew rather than the ship herself. Those bundles were called grapeshot after the small fruits they resembled. There were also weighted metal bars meant to snap a ship's mast, and two balls linked to each other with chain to tangle and disable a ship's rigging.
Several rounds from the front cannons later, they were close enough for the pistols and rifles of both crews. Shots were exchanged, and people dropped back from both rails. No one on the Night was killed instantly, but there were several injuries that would need to be looked at later.
The Night was coming up on the slaver's port side, the Night's starboard. Honor knew on the decks below the crew would have abandoned the port side to have as many people as possible assisting on the starboard cannons.
"Starboard cannons, make ready!" Honor screamed over the sounds of the many guns going off. "Fire!"
A tremor ran the length of the ship as all the cannons discharged as one. Hemp ropes thicker than Honor's arms were in place to control the recoil of the cannons so they didn't shoot backward across the deck, but they still jerked back. Honor made a mental note to check all the ropes as soon as the battle was over and cursed herself for forgetting beforehand. Their last battle a cannon has snapped free and caused a lot of damage to the inside of the ship.
"Reload and fire at will!" she shouted. It was nice being the first mate, in charge but not the ultimate leader. Captain wasn't a position Honor aspired for - she was happy where she was and knew Maxine made a far better captain than she ever could. However, she was a bit jealous that Max didn't have to do any screaming over the roar of cannons during a battle.
"Grappling lines, ready!" she ordered. The ropes with their barbed hooks were grabbed off the deck, and at her command, they flew across and hooked onto the rails of the slaver, pulling the two ships together.
Two wooden planks were thrown across the gap, and the pirates of the Night's Revenge swarmed onto the slaver ship. Some pirates swung across into the other ship's rigging, and the cannons of both ships continued to fire into each other, but less and less came from the other ship.
The two decks were madness. Swords flashed, guns fired, and blood splashed on the deck.
Honor wanted to join in, but it was her and Maxine's duty to stay out of the heart of the battle, give commands, and keep the Night parallel to the slaver without crashing into it.
Even so, she smiled grimly. She never felt so alive as when she was facing death.
((If the Navy wants so show up soon...?))

Wait, Luminous were you Isi at one point, or was that someone else's old username?
Percival listened intently, and you could see in his eyes how the gears were turning in his mind. He stared at the map, specifically the marker, and very slowly a small smile came to his face. He could see it all play out smoothly, and finally his worrying had ceased. It was quite a relief, considering he had been cramped up in his quarters all day staring at that map, running countless scenarios, variables, and whatever else may go wrong or right. But now, he could almost see the ship sinking, the crew jumping from what remained of the dreaded Night's Revenge. Most would call him mad, but that's what made him feel alive, it gave him purpose. Land offered no such reassurance.
Percival snapped out of his thoughts when Maxwell put a gentle hand on his shoulder, and in that moment his hands stopped their shaking, and a smile broke out on his face. The pain seemed to morph into motive, and that's what most men were terrified of.
"Now that you have enlightened me, I'm sure things will be more than alright." He pat Maxwell's hand that was on his shoulder, his face seemingly excited, like a child's.
Suddenly, he heard large booms in the distance, and he knew it was time to carry out the plan.
"Now, shall we get started?"

Diance Diaba|Gunner|Pirate|Location:Deck of the Slave Ship|Mentions:Those Fighting
Diance ducked as a poorly placed swing of a sword flew over her head,"Nice try bakaroo" she remarked standing up and knicking him down."I suggest you stay down on the ground untill this is over with" she added shooting him in the leg quickly. She'd hurried over since they no longer needed the cannons, she had grabbed some gunpowder tho,she enjoyed using it a bit.Two more sailors came at her,one with a pistol. She ducked under as he shot at her,"Little help here fellas?" she asked the rest of the crew
Alisa Taercot | Midshipman | Navy| Location: Deck| Interactions: Open? (I dunno)
(I kept his short cause I don't know what to do with him yet)
He scrubbed the last part of the deck quickly, they were supposed to keep it pretty clean. He glanced up at the sails, they had a heading,he didn't know it,he didn't need to know it.
Maxwell heard the roaring sound of cannons being fired and Honor screaming out commands to be able to be heard. She remembered when she had to do that, but right now she couldn't care less about that. She was focusing on the ship they were attacking and was ready to give a command should they need to do something quickly.
As she watched the other ship.. she saw something that made her heart skip a beat. A child, a girl no older then 12, her eyes matched that of her own and oddly enough the girl was also in her likeness. She watched the child, struggling to get away from the battle.. but the child was so malnurished. It hurt her seeing that, and she thought of her own daughter... The one she never had the chance to raise. To love. To care for.. Her eyes showed many emotions.. and she was tempted to jump into battle but instead she said to Honor,
" I want no slavers left alive on that ship... I want them all slaughtered.." She snarled slightly, the look of pain in her eyes mixed with fury for the child that was hurt due to the slavers would make anyone shiver in her gaze. Maxine, for all the pain she had been through in the past, was usually a forgiving person, leaving a bit of a crew alive to spread warning that the nights revenge didn't tolerate slavers or any men of the like. She was always a forgiving one.. but no, not this time. Seeing that child hurting and not being cared for plucked a string deep in her that usually was not ever plucked. It was one that hurt her more then anything else. No.. she didn't feel mercy in her veins today. She felt the burning wish to get on that ship and kill. She almost wanted to pull her pistol out and kill off a few, but she hesitated. She could very well aim to kill, but there was too much movement.
( If leaving survivors isn't something they would do tell me- )
Maxwell Heavens | First Mate | Navy | Location: Captains Quarters | Interactions: Captain Percival
Maxwell nodded, he was happy that the Captain was back to normal but his face showed no such expression. Loyal to his name he was cold as stone and his gaze was dead. He had no emotions, not even the slightest of smiles. Perhaps a smirk, but that would of been all. " Yes, Sir. We should be approaching the Nights revenge soon. "
Mercury Jones | Sailor | Pirate | Location: Slavers ship, on deck | Interactions: Open
Mercury was wielding her battle-axe like weapon and killing off slavers, sure it was a heavy weapon that wouldn't give her very much defense but she was a skilled fighter, and nothing was going to be stopping her from freeing those slaves. Though sometimes she would halt, she was still frightened.. But she knew better then to stop fighting, it would cost her life.
"I got you, dearie!" Esmeralda shot twice at the slaver with a gun targeting Diance, and whipped around to shoot someone behind her. Her white hair seemed like a blur as she sprinted across the deck, taking cover beneath some crates. She was an easy target to spot, and thankfully she was quick on her feet. She served as a sort of distraction, and it gave the other girls the opportunity to take advantage of those paying attention to her.
Silence was huddled below deck, behind the stack of crates farthest away from the stairs. She knew it wasn't safe to run out on deck to Honor or Maxine, and so she remained where she was. If by any chance anyone made it down to her, she knew how to use a dagger, and the maze of crates to he advantage. She knew Honor would most likely come for her after the fighting had ceased. She wished she could be more help, but being so young and weak would make her too easy for some large slaver to knock her out with one blow.

Rowan Angeles | Map-master | Pirate | Location: Uh, top deck? | Interactions: Open
Aye! Avast!
Well, you said cleverly xD
(Sorry for the late reply, my mom made me do trigonometry for seven hours straight, and also confiscated my tablet until I did enough trigonometry.)
Rowan didn't waste any time boarding the other ship. Two minutes before, she'd been both nervous and excited, the combination of emotions that came before adrenaline-filled things, such as, well, a battle. During the battle, there wasn't any time to think about how you felt. You had to focus on killing as many people as you needed to accomplish your task while avoiding death by a hairbreadth. It was terrifying.
Rowan loved it.
Her swords flashed in deadly arcs, red hair temporarily blinding her opponents. She smiled sweetly and batted her eyelashes at a slaver, then stabbed him and twirled to decapitate one who had attempted to sneak up on her.
