It's a fairly cloudy day but doesn't look like rain. Already the city is alive as people go about their daily business, going to and from work. The thrum of magic is heavy in the air, but you've gotten used to it by now.

I go outside for a walk to enjoy the cool weather.

I stretch my body before rubbing my eyes and opening them slowly. I step out of my bed slowly and look around. My house was small, consisting of my bed, a table with two chairs, and a small kitchen, as well as a dresser and closet for my possessions. I look outside for any sign of people in the area or anything noteworthy from my window

You go on down the streets, most people go about their buisness but a couple wave in greeting as they pass.

They look very, very panicked. One of them has his whole arm encased by a mix of emerald and topaz, another is looking worriedly on, the fourth isn't there at all.

You see some early risers out jogging, you also see a youngish looking women by the shore, kneeling down her feet and dress wet from the water.
