Fog sniffed the air, searching for any sign of danger before he dove into the river. The little minnows flicked away, but not fast enough. Fog snapped them up, careful not to swallow any so that he could feed them to the rest of the tribe.

Kaeliera || Tribe of the Mountains || near Fog
Earlier heard a splash, and looked over just in time to see the end of an otter disappear into the river, just on the other side of the border. Kaeliera resolved to keep an eye on it, and flew closer, perching on a tree branch a few yards from the border.

Fog perked his ears up. Someone else was near him. The small twitch in the back of his head had started. Fog listened in on their thoughts.
