I understand, but it's always good to have some basis. This is also about 250 years after the civil war happened by the way. So society rebuilt itself a tad bit, but things are still in ruin.

Apparel: Malak usually goes for natural colors like the ones described to him by those brave enough to venture beyond the underground more than what is suggested. He wears a dark brown shirt that have sleeves coming to his elbows. He wears a rather soft, lush, green cloak practically everywhere along with dark grayish green pants. He wears necklaces and bracelets made from plants and wooden beads made by his godfather. He also has a brown strip of leather he uses to put his hair up. He doesn't care for shoes, and when he ventures out for herbs and stuff, he makes sure to wear a mask to try and disguise himself.
Personality: Malak is a healer, not a fighter. However, in today's society, everyone has to have some fight in them. He enjoys staying at home with his godfather and tending to the sick, the wounded, and those who have aged quite beyond the expectancy rate ((though this is super rare)). He knows all medicinal herbs like the back of his hand and somehow likes to bring them up as an everyday conversation. He is caring and gentle, and has a great amount of selflessness. He keeps to himself, though, finding little to know one with similarities. He finds company in the plants he goes and harvests three times in a year. That way the plants can recuperate. He loves his godfather, but fears that he'll be alone soon. He is also, surprisingly, very sly and sarcastic, despite the before mentioned characteristics of his personality. He just sees it as another way to wheel and deal for their survival.

Dislikes: going to the surface, hearing stories about the surface, being all alone, being under pressure
Flaws: Malak is quick to assume and he rarely lets anyone help him out. He thinks he can do it himself most of the time
Fears: his godfather's death that will leave him alone in this apocalyptic world.
Quirks: when exceedingly nervous, he grabs his right wrist and digs his nails in. Sometimes it draws blood. He also, when focusing hard on something, bites his lip to the point of bleeding. It's probably not healthy for all his quirks to involve blood, but he feels like he's under pressure as time passes to learn everything he can before his godfather dies.
Bio: You are probably wondering why, throughout the form, there is a godfather, not grandfather or father. Well, Malak's family has been a long line of apothecary people. His godfather was his father's best friend who learned the art when he was still young. Malak's mother had died shortly after he was born, due to being both sick and him being born prematurely. His father moved the family business to another underground city where he started anew with raising Malak and finishing up all of Malak's godfather's training. Then one day, when Malak was ten, tragedy struck. His father had gone to the surface with his godfather, only to be mauled by an Illired. His godfather was able to take down the attacker, but not before it dealt fatal damage. His father dies in the little hut they call home, filled with all the herbs that were supposed to save lives. Malak was taken under the wing of his godfather and began to learn the ways of an apothecary. Toward the middle of spring, he finds his way to the surface to harvest more herbs. Then again in the middle of the summer. And then a third time at the beginning of fall. This allows the plants they have memorized the location of recuperate. They also make sure to treat the plants well so they do not die. Malak is now witnessing his godfather falling ill, slowly heading for his grave. It is breaking his heart and is making his decisions for him.
