As you look for better ways to cross, you notice rocks sticking out of the water. The water laps at them, and they may be slightly slippery, but at least stable. Try to cross there?

As you move the logs you get a large splinter, but you are okay. Nestled in the midst of the pile is an egg. It looks like the egg is well, but there are no signs of its parents. Do you take the egg or leave it?

I decide, after examining the rocks closely, that if I'm careful enough I can cross the river here. I try my lucky and hope I don't slip as I step onto the first rock.

The stone wobbles slightly but stays firm. You cross safely, but not a moment to soon. Another large tree comes crashing into the water farther upstream, and as it gets swept down the river hits against the stones with such force that some of them give way, causing the distances between the stones to be too great to jump. You are now standing only some ways from a slope leading down to the valley. Do you go for the valley, or try to get back across the tree bridge while you still can?

'That could have ended badly.' I think to myself as I watch the tree continue to be swept downstream. I sigh quietly and turn back towards the valley. 'Might as well keep going.'

As you come close to the source, you notice a pair of large felines (not going to say the species) pulling a tree to a large pile of already torn down trees. Then one of them lets out a growl, and then sniffs at the pile. It then growls again and the two run off, deeper into the woods. You aren't sure whether they will come back anytime soon. Explore the woodpile or go back and follow the claw marks?

As you come into the valley, the shadows seem to move. Little growls and sighs sound in the air. There are creatures here, but you aren't sure if they are friendly. What do you do?

I grow nervous as I watch the shadows moving. I try to keep my cool and ignore everything as I continue to walk.
