I have a feeling Psychic will be in the mix, other than that...seems obvious that the Sun one would be Fire, and maybe Ice for the Moon one? Unless they add another type, like Light or something. But fire/ice and psychic would make sense i guess? Fire and ice being opposites and often associated with the Moon/Sun...another option might be Rock instead of Psychic, since the moon is a rock and all...a Fire Rock would be a stretch but could still desribe the sun?

I honestly don't think they'll add another new type so soon after adding the fairy type. Before Fairy type, they hadn't added a new type since they added Steel in gen 2 if I'm not mistaken. So I highly doubt they will make another new type so soon.

@Vamp -- Yeah, it doesn't seem likely, but i figure it's not impossible? Honestly i kinda hope not, fairy really upturned the dynamics and idk if i'm up for that again lmao

@Malas -- i might be swayed for poppilo if the final evo is elegant and less clownlike than i'm expecting. We'll see if Litten becomes a big firey tiger or what. Still leaning towards my widdle owl though.

Most legendary seem to be either elemental, dragon, or psychic, with exceptions and combinations ofc. So it's also possible we'll have Fire/Psychic for the lion, and Dragon-something for the moonbat -- just praying it's not ANOTHER Dragon/Flying, i'll cry...it seems a little unlikely though, i still am vying for an Ice type with it. Otherwise, most of the directly space-related pokemon(Solrock, Lunatone, Cresselia, Deoxys, Beheeyem, etc) have at least a partial Psychic typing -- probably aligned with intellect or astrology, or both. I'm kinda rethinking the Ice idea for the moonbat though, part of me wants to say 'ice planets' and 'opposite of fire' like i said, but...ice isn't such a common legendary typing(Articuno, Regice?) So idk.

So, tl;dr: Psychic seems most likely to be a partial typing for at least one. Fire seems real likely for the Sunlion, and Dragon especially seems likely for Moonbat. DON'T MIND ME, JUST THINKING ALOUD...

Seeing the starters makes me happy, though tbh I don't know what I'd pick. I'm kinda neutral for all of em (except I'm sad with Pipplio :C poor thing isn't as awesome as the other two), so I'll wait until their evolutions come out (and not rely on leaks) to make a choice.

I am also excited about Pokemon Go though, even if its far in the future.

I hope Rowlet keeps his Grass Flying typing, as it's not abnormal for pkmn to switch typing while evolving. Litten looks like it could become a Fire Dark, but my friend said that the symbol on his head looks like the symbol for sulfur so they think Fire Poision. Though, my friend said there's someone who claimed they hacked the site and it's a fire ground (please be a joke). Popplio I hope is a water fairy, just looks that way to me. Same friend, same story said it's a Water Fighting.

AS for the legendary here's my thought.

Sun: Least be fire since the sun is a giant fireball. Second typing, if it gets one, I have no idea on.

Moon: Water, as the moon controls the tides of Earth's water. Second typing, no idea.


All I know is I kinda want Sun Mufasa cause Moon Yvetal doesn't look that appealing to me.

Grass flying would be a nightmare to use against Ice types, save for HP Fire as a move...

Eh, idk about poison, the alchemical symbol for sulfur has an infinity symbol on the bottom, and isn't usually pointg? And i don't see a reason for referencing 'fire and brimstone' on a starter. Plus, sulfur is crystalline, would make more sense for sulfur to indicate a rock type. Sulfur only becomes poisonous in large quantities or when it exists as a compound, such as hydrogen sulfide, so poison isn't a typing match. (I know a bit about poisons, heh. Had a short phase during which i came up with Cyanidae as a username! Also recently started dabbling in alchemy, sorry)

Water IS an interesting theory, actually, for moonbat. Feeling kinda dinky for not thinking about it myself...you're absolutely right about the tides!

I still kinda hoping Litten is Fire/Dark though. just looks it. It doesn't scream poisonous to me. (and not Fire ground, 4 times weak to water, bleck) Also, no need to apologize about your interest, you were just explaining why you don't see it being a poison type.

And don't feel bad, not allot of people seem to know the moon determines the water tides. Fire and water are also opposites of each other, so it could still fit with what some people hoping it to be a fire and ice thing. I think i'd be kinda upset if Sun isn't least fire and Moon has to be water or ice.

Sun also looks kinda robotic so steel? Moon doesn't look real robotic or anything, so, I dunno. (THen again, Lucario I would never guess was Steel Fighting, but he is, so, it could easily surprise us for all we know)
