Yeah, I use to LOVE math...but then I got to my freshman year of high school... My math teacher that year had us MAKE our math books! And well it was a hard class to pass...all because she didn't tawny to use the actual text book.

I can still do math ok though I do better with higher maths(things that are like beyond basic algebra), but the new Common Core format that's being taught in California has got me really concerned...it's forcing kids to learn at a pace that may not be what's best for them...

Though I don't normally use any math level beyond fractions, percentages, and multiply/divide...

My area it's pretty tough, but it's mainly in grade schools right now, not high schools as much. I'm not sure I'd have to ask if any of my friends have kids in school in Texas. I just think that Common Core is going to end up harming/hindering more kids then it's going to help...especially seeing as it basically removes the possibility of getting tutors/one on one help, taking AP classes, things of that nature.

Yeah, but there was no jr. high for the elementary in my area, actually my county only had one jr high school. All the elementary schools in my county except for one go up to 8th grade, then you go to one of two high schools.

For like outside of class times, yes and lunches times where different too. The only time all grades where together was in the very early morning right before school started, which was only like 10 minutes.
