Nicote was....well, he knew that the closest state borders were about (inset time) away and his watch showed it was around that time.

Wait, his watch. It was a Fitbit. And....


Nicote pressed one of the apps, one a coder friend had helped him install due to the fact his grandfather was so important. Which in turn sent his current location to said friend. Who hopefully would check it and send it to police

Sometimes it was nice having your grandfather be a former senator.
