Rose held on, refusing to let go of Luxie, draining its energy to heal herself from the electric attack.
"Keep using Leech Life, and use Cross Poison at the same time!" Mio commanded.
Diantha couldn't understand how Rose could possible use two attacks at once, but Rose managed it anyway. Using her other pair of wings, she crossed them and sent them at the Luxio, damaging it even more.

"Luxie, do more damage with your attack. Luxie flung his tail up, digging the spiked tail into Rose's back, then let out a powerful spark attack, electricity surging in and out of his body, some of it flowing into Rose's fangs.

"Fly Rose! Fly!" Mio yelled.
Rose flew into the air, her fangs still stuck in Luxie. She picked him up and flew about ten meters into the air, then dropped her opponent.
"Now Cross Poison!" Mio yelled.
Rose sent a Cross Poison attack at Luxie while the Electric-type was in midair, increasing the impact when the Luxio fell to the ground.

Luxie, being a partial cat, managed to land on his feet reducing the damage done. "Switch out, Emperess, go, Rain dance!" She called the prinplup in, after it used the move, she switched out again.

"I see what you're doing! Rose! Roll in the mud!" Mio commanded. Rose did what I told her. I couldn't help but snicker a little. She looked like a chocolate covered Crobat. Rose! Use Toxic!!!" Mio commanded.
Rose used the move, poisoning the Electric-type Luxio.

Despite the crobat being covered in mud, it was still raining, which washed off enough the mud for a successful thunder attack, though the mud left enough covered for it not to be critically injured.

"Okay Rose, use Air Slash on the ground to spray mud in Luxie's eyes!"
"Cro-cro-crobat!" Rose cried.

Luxie roared in annoyance as he lost his ability to see. "It doesn't matter Luxie, it's still raining, which makes thunder unable to miss, go for it!" Sylver called to her pokemon. At this point, Kai and Leo, who had been sitting in battlefield range, were now drenched from the rain. The two got up and walked off elsewhere.

"So? What do you want us to do?" Ashley asked.

"You can stay with me, be my second in command, or you can go and scout with the others" He told her.
