She chuckled, "I'm gonna take a break."

Ash smiling at the girls, achingly handsome and charming. He was flirting with them.

The song came to an end anyway and Puck drew back, frowning slightly

"Sorry, just a bit tired." She smiles apologetically.

Ash was still there in the corner, chuckling at something one of the girls had said.

Puck led her off the dance floor, back to the tables. He pulled out a chair for her. "Sorry. I just have that effect on people. Hang on. Ill get you something to drink." He vanished into the crowd, making his way toward the refreshment table at the far wall.

She sat there, watching the people dance, ignoring Ash and the crowd of girls.

"Hey. You wanna dance?" a random boy asked, holding out his big, football-callused hand. Puck had been cornered by the nurse, who, from his half annoyed, half contrite expression, appeared to have caught him doing some kind of mischief. Probably spiking the punch. A high-pitched giggle came from the corner.

She rolled her eyes, "Sure." She took his hand, getting up from her seat.

The boy took her to the dancefloor and put his hands very low on her waist as they swayed to the music, standing closer than most self-respecting girls would really be comfortable with.

"So," the boy murmured, running his hands up her back. At least they didnt slide in the opposite direction. "Did I mention Im the varsity quarterback already?"

She shakes her head, "Nope."

He grinned, wrapping a curl of her hair around his finger. "Well, have you ever been to any of my games?"
