As soon as Knux was gone the drake dropped the innocent sad look. His face actually went blank. "New orders..." he muttered. "I'm sorry Shell." He lunged and Shell caught him by the wing slamming him down with the momentum. They seperated and turned to face each other. They circled like two wolves checking the other before a fight. Shell moved first. She launched her self over the drake who knew this was coming and thrust her aside with a talon. She scrambled back to her feet hissing. The drake charged and she side stepped tripping over his wing. The drake stood on his haunches and so did Shell. She roared and spread her wings charging. The drake was knocked back but his claws raked Shell's exposed underbelly. She hissed in pain and went back to all fours. Her father stayed still. Then ran to her right. She leaped just in time before he clawed the space where her injured wing was. She stood on his back panting and dug her claws into his shoulders. The drake bucked and crashed into trees in failed attempt to get her off. She grabbed his head and was about to twist it when she met his pleading eyes. I can't kill a dragon... "Fine." She instead tore open his wings and shove him into the waterfall. Panting she stumbled away into the forest leaving a small trail of blood.

Though every burning instinct told him to go back and assist the dragoness, he continued walking straight. Not your fight, let them settle it, He told himself. When the sounds of struggle suddenly stopped, he slowed his pace. That was either a good thing or a bad thing.

Squirrels chattered in fright when they walked upon the blood trail and streaked in multiple directions.

Looking up, he realized that the whole island went quiet. He stopped and looked around. He could hear Shell approaching, and a metallic scent tinted the air. "So, you killed him?" he said loud enough for anyone within a 10 yard radius to hear.

"No." Said a strained voice. There was a thump and heavy breathing.

"Then stay where you are. I'll be back in no time," The echidna said with a surprisingly calm tone.

He returned only a few minutes later, Chaos Emerald in hand. He inhaled sharply when he saw Shell's condition.

Her eyes were closed and her teeth were semi-bared. She was breathing heavily her under belly and tail were gushing blood. (Gushing is a fun word :/ 'Gushing gushing gushing')

He put a hand to Shell's forehead and drew on the Chaos Emerald. Hopefully this would give her enough energy to move to a lake or to the Master Emerald or something.

Shell opened her emerald colored eyes slowly. "Am I going nuts, or is there two Knuckles." (Double vision)

"As far as I know, Chaos killed the other Echidnas. Can you walk?"
