"Why should I? He's gonna come right back. Just wait. He's mad. I clawed his face." Shell waited patiently until a large but cowardly looking black dragon plummeted out of the sky onto the opposite end of the broken bridge his face was bleeding. "Shell. I know you hate me for what I did. I had no choice. I'm the bad guy, your mother was the good guy. If I wanted to live I had to kill her before she sent you to guard the chaos emerald. I killed her. She knew I would." Shell stared up at her 'father' and said the words he was dreading. "You work for robotnic, you wanted me to be evil, and your a petty excuse for a father. Your a coward." Shell hissed.

Knuckles edged backward, snarling as he watched the towering dragons. If this was true... he stepped up onto the rock again. "Is this all true?" He didn't notice that he was drawing on the Master Emerald.

Shell's father looked ashamed. "Y-yes. It's true I am a coward." Shell hissed even more and backed away from him like he was a rotten piece of carrion.

"A life threat... Your life was threatened," he murmured. "I think I understand. It's instinct," He turned to Shell now. "But that's none of my business. At the end of the day this isn't my fight," with that he left.
