The rest of the book, which is fairly short, appears to have the same ratio of smudged ink to readable print as the first page.

Enfys flips back to the first page, and copies down the passage in her notepad, making sure to leave space for each missing word.

The Vivid are like that, they all have a small purpose but no real point. No one knows why they were made.

Of course it did. He tries to find out what--or who--closed the door, keeping an eye on his surroundings for any lurking dangers.

It seems to have closed on its own, maybe it was triggered when you crossed the strange symbols.
