Thank you :)
Perhaps we are equal on the scale of addiction x3
I've only gotten into the Lotr universe about a year ago and I'm going slightly crazy reading all the books I can find in my spare time :P

You're welcome :) And I meant it :)
No, no, I assure you, I would win.^^ *looks at her drawing sketchbook full of sketches of elves*
But it's not you're fault. It's genetic. No one in the world can equal me on the scale of this addiction.
What do you mean by all the books? :) Which other books in this universe have you read? :)
(It's not irrelevant in this topic AT ALL, in case you're wondering, LivingMyonReality. Distraction and finding interest help a lot to deal with depression. Fine, I admit I said it jockingly to be able to continue speaking about the LOTR universe with Galayrose, but it is actually very true, and some books included these ones helped me a lot when I was feeling bad)

To be honest the Silmarillion is really the main one except from LOTR and the Hobbit.
Most of the others books (set in the universe) are more older or different versions of the stories from in the Silmarillion, that were not included in the final version. Some parts are great if you really a fan, and some other are very useful when you want to lecture people about why Tauriel should not have red hair, But she annoys me because of her love story anyway
Some books like for example the Children of Hurin are stories included in the Silmarillion but rewritten and more detailed.
So... Do I win???? :D
(Come on, if you've started the Silmarillion, even my avis should convince you I should win^^)
I am teasing, it's not really a contest, but it's great that you like this world.
Who are you favorite characters?
(Yes, LivingMyOwnReality, in case you come, I assure you it is very relevant)

I think Enyo is right, distractions are a great help in many chronic illnesses. This seems to be especially true for anxiety. I know for myself that if I dont keep my mind busy enough, it gets pretty anxious and starts self-analyzing in less-than-helpful ways. This is one of many reasons I love Sylestiain addition to the great community, there is so very much to do.
