Your son will die either way!`` He hissed. ``But-`` ``This conversation is over! It is his fate!`` He yowled, making your ears ring while the stench and the rustle of leaves greeted your awakening.

I confusedly open my eyes, hoping to catch a glimpse of the cats. But the one thing going through my head? Smallpaw was in danger, and Woodkit was in for heartbreak. I had to save Smallpaw, I had to!

He is still sleeping, but you hear Turtlestep meowing rapidly to Larkstar.
``He opened his eyes this morning! He is going to awake!`` She went on.
``That doesn't mean he will. Featherstep said I open my eyes while I sleep sometimes too. It's instincts for a cat to open their eyes for a second while they sleep.``
Larkstar responded.
``Well... Okay... I'm still going to believe though!`` Turtlestep purred, heading back into the main area of the den. Her figure blurred by the fat stream of fresh water. It rushed down into a pool, little slits opening in it while they quickly closed.

They weren't there. Just the corpse and trees.
You should probably tell Larkstar about it.

My eyes narrow as I rush back to camp. Check on Smallpaw first, tell Larkstar next, right now don't get caught by a patrol now.

I look at Smallpaw for a moment, before rushing off to find Larkstar. Smallpaw should be safe with Woodkit. Wait, I can't leave someone guarded by a kit! I hesitate, and start rushing to find the nearest warrior.
