What would be something your character would say,

Like I have a character called Lorenzo and something I think he would say (or had said if you've used them before is): Some people just weren't meant to succeed. Wait that was supposed to be encouraging.

It could even be something like. "Look there's an apple"

Perfect, here's the starter post...

You were sitting in class one day spying on guys with your friends when you thought you heard something. It was a song, soft, quiet and beckoning. It seemed to be calling for help. But something about, something seemed unearthly. You look around and the rest of your friends don't seem to have heard it. What do you do?

You are welcome, I provide quality entertainment when my brain's about to die and I have fallen into a split about 20 times in five minutes.

You find yourself in the bathroom. As you walk into it you see what appears to be a small glowing ball of light. The song seems to be coming out from the ball of light. As you watch, a small bird flutters from the light, flapped around a couple of times before diving back into the light.

(Yep that's fine xD, World building would be like if you said a fish was in the sink)

As you push your hand into the ball of light, it expands into a glowing portal just large enough for a human to fit through. As your hand goes through, you feel a weird tingling. Then the portal started to spin like a vortex pulling you forward toward the light.

Personality
Moon is sarcastic and can be slightly arrogant at times. She enjoys being purposely annoying, and often provokes other people, whether it is on purpose or not, which is why she doesn't have many friends. She doesn't really mind not having a lot of friends, though. If Moon saw pixies at a library, she'd be quite interested, and probably wonder if they were edible.
Backstory
Moon was raised in a fairly normal family. Her father died when she was 6, due to a sickness, leaving her mother to raise her and her older brother alone. Other than that, Moon had had an ordinary life so far.
