Atticus
Out of the corner of his eye, Atticus was watching Liam, making sure he treated Martin.... decently. He also observed the pad of paper, despite the other owner being discreet about it. He wondered what he had been writing. Atticus watched Tetra scurry off. That's when he turned his full attention to meeting Liam's death glare with a neutral stare of his own, steely blue eyes portraying nothing. He cared not what Liam thought of him. And he was going to show it.

Martin
Snatching one last book from the shelf, Martin made his quick return to Liam and set the books down. "I found all the books I could, Master. I do hope that they please you," he said confidently. He had noticed how he glared at his owner, but had no idea why. Atticus hadn't done anything to Tetra, so why look at him like that?

Mid stare, his gaze slightly shifted, but not far. He seemdd to be staring at atticus, but yet again not. Thats because he was staring at Tetra. He was monitoring her behavior, making sure that she behaved as she was trained. When Martin ahd returned, he resumed a dull expression. He looked at rhe books and opened one with out saying a word
. he flipped a few pages and then suddenly asked a question. "Martin, if I were to offer you beef or kale, which would you eat?"

She layed the books tenderly on the table, then glanced again at her master. When she nkticed the way he looked at her, she gulped. Not only that, but she steaighrened her back, clasped her hands in dront of her, brushed her hair out of her face and flattened her white dress. Liam had taught her a phrase always to remember, "posture, presentation, and politeness"

''Yeah, I'm Coro.'' He greeted Peggi, having a emotionless tone in his voice.

Well, Peggi, I ask that you get me a book about the care of heroes. Once you have done that, you will sit and be quiet, understand? Edric said. He never met her eyes while he talked. He understood that this hero was prized to her owner. She was not to him. He would give the owner respect by not treating her too badly, but he would not treat her the same. He would only have to do this for an hour or so then he could get Nada back.
Nada stood up. What do you need me to do sir? She asked Alex. She still looked a little sick but she seemed ready to move a mountain if she was asked.

Peggi nodded and disappeared for aminute then reapeared witht the book-she was used to coming often with Alex this was a cinch. She set it down in front of edric. "Care of Heroes, by Elington D. Wateyson. A compelete guide to the care of heroes, containing 287 pages and 17 chapters, not inclduing the glassery, table of contents, blank pages, and illustrations, 357 pages counting ilustrations, published (insert random year) by HeritogneGuides Inc."


Alex thoguht for a moment. "Just find me somethin on heros and owner, honestly any book works since i"ve resd most of them already." He was regretting Peggi was assiating him, she knew which booka hed read and whether he wanted specific ones or not, plus she had somehow memorized a bunch of info about several of the books hed read before.

Thunder Lake
She sighed, imagining abandoning Scout, her protector. She could train anytime, but he was her protector. Raising her? Help with that? Scout doesn't need to help raise me. She thought. Might as well try to make friends, she told herself, innocently bringing down a few rain clouds to hover over the library.

He hoped Thunder would be OK by herself, with someone new. She was really not ready to deal with a new owner, after all, her own experiences drove her powers. He could only hope she didn't bring down too many clouds...a thunderstorm now would not be ideal, especially if Thunder did not like the owner she was paired with.
