he blood pressure of a giraffe is the highest of all animals, reaching about 300 mm Hg in its systolic, or upper phase, and 200 mm Hg in its diastolic, or lower phase. The giraffe's blood pressure is higher than ours because the giraffe's heart has to pump blood up a neck seven feet long to reach his brain.
