Nakisha watched shadow and figured he would be back before mornin. She motioned to wildfire to sleep, then closed her own eyes and slept til mornin.

Nakisha woke up early that morning curious of the new smell by her den. She soon realized it was Wildfire's scent. Prodding Wildfire's pelt, Nakisha listened closely for Shadow's breathing deep in the wilderness.
