Yep. The gems will still be there. We just missed adding them onto the Adult Male's sketch and refining them on the Adult Female's. They will be separate from their bases though so that we can add in new mutations that are alternative styles of gems.
Oooo I was really hoping we'd get a mutation that edits the gems! Can't wait to see what fun shapes you come up with! :D

The new Bulbori look nice but the males expression isn't my favourite. is the expression gonna change?
- as for why I don't like the expression, I think it's the eyes. It makes him look a bit like a jerk. If you remove the smile form the male Bulbori, he just looks angry. Softening the eyes, or changing the expression would make him look better. the current Bulbori male looks more confident an intelligent because of the squinted eye.
- I really like that the gem on top of the head is now more visible on the female Bulbori
- as a matter of taste, I would prefer the tails top area being more "flat", it makes them look more groomed. (like the current one) but it doesn't really matter. (gonna change anyway with mutations.)
- also the babies look adorable, but I have (a subjective) opinions on the "smooth" cheek fluff. mostly wish the cheeks were more ruffled to show that the baby it active and wild, but I guess their parents have been taking care of their fur.
- also also the toe beans on the babies are really good. and their shape makes sense.

The new babies are adorable! :D Love them! While I like the face of the new female, I prefer the old head shape. It's just cuter somehow, less smooshed from the top, I think. I am most definitely not an artist, so I don't know how to describe it other than it looks like something fell on top of her noggin and squished her head a bit ^^' Specifically in her cheeks. They don't look as round or "full" as they old model, which in my opinion makes the old one cuter. Maybe it's also the fact that instead of her cheeks looking fluffy, it looks like she has a mouth full of food that's pushing out her cheeks. And maybe it's just the line right under her eye that makes it look that way. I dunno, it's definitely something that makes her look squished and chunky versus cute and fluffy ^^'
As for the male, I agree with everyone else that he does come across very flat faced- like a Persian cat. The old model definitely looks more handsome for the males. The expression/shape of this one is more rugged- not necessarily bad, but I am hoping the final line-art approval encourages me to want to do bunny projects! And like Haleighb mentioned, I hope the revamp means some of those genes/mutation layers get fixed too! Specifically the different wings! ^.^

I know I'm supposed to say more than "I don't like" but lets see what I can come up with when I ramble... I don't like the (floating head) gem on the female Bulbori. Though I never really liked the fact the male had a floating gem as it is - but now the gem is a lot more delicate, so that part is good. But yeah, the gem just doesn't suit the female when her head is in that exact same position. Too big and bulky (there, I figured it out xD) I also don't like if the female's other ear isn't visible (I know how perspectives work, I just prefer when it peaks out.)
But overall I do like it, it's more... I wouldn't say 'cutesy' but... it just is an improvement overall :D I'd gladly see this new version on the pets.

I really like the new gem placement! It always made me sad that the female head gem was barely visible.

Not too many differences from the current ones, which I think is a good thing. My main gripe with bulbs is that making a pretty 6v is really tough because a lot of the traits fight each other/don't blend together nicely. Hopefully the revamp will help with this.
That said, there are a few things that jumped out for me.
I prefer the current female adult face. The new one is a little too cheeks stuffed with food looking for me. I like that she has her head gem more prominent. Right now her gem is easily mistaken for her other ear.
I agree that the male adult face is too pug looking, but that may be fixed with shading. He also looks more angry, but that seems to be the theme for the males of most of the species. At least he does have a bit of a smile.
The female baby looks older than the current one to me, but I'm not entirely sure what the issue is. Might be her front legs are more chunky? Not sure, but doesn't look quite as cute because of it. She still has her cute little tongue sticking out, which makes me happy.
Overall I think they look good. Excited to see them fully shaded.

Quoting Krinadon: "It's been a very long time, but I don't think the Luffox are intended to be bunny/rabbit/hare-like at all. I think they were just intended to be cute, little, mischievous fox-like fantasy creatures."
I love foxes, and I would never, ever have imagined them as the inspiration for Luffoxes! To me, Luffoxes appear as though cacomixtles and/or raccoons were their "baseline."
I know this is not the "Luffox revamp thread," but--foxes? Seriously? Couldn't let that one pass.

They are very cute and lovely! The female makes me think of certain Disney rabbits like Thumper from Bambi ^^ Well done on these lovely sketches! I'm curious to see their finished version :3

I like the sketches and like the way the males in particular look..far better (sorry) than what the Bulbori male looks like now.
Everything looks fine to me.
