"Thank you for letting me know." Ivan said, patting the younger sailor on the head. He turned and started to pace the deck.

He looked embarrassed but gave a nod, "Should I pull up the anchor, sir?"

"Yes!" Ivan said, looking at the horizon. "We set for sea!"

The sail was lifted, you could see another port of the opposite side of the gulf and several pirates in between, lots of little ones near you by the coast. You saw St Petersburg several days away, although it looked like cloud was coming in. The wind was heading mainly North, but partially East.

Ivan thought for a moment. "Okay, comrades." he said to the sailors. "We have two options. We could make for St Petersburg which is a few days away but there are risky winds, or we could try to make for the port opposite, where there are many pirate ships. I don't believe we have any weapons though... How is your fighting?"

"We aren't strong fighters, there are only three of us, against most crews of 11 we'd be outnumbered. I do say if there aren't too many we can just dart through them, this ships too small for most to be interested. Plus there'll probably be trading ships on the way we can call out to or just flee from the pirates." the sailors took it in turns to add to the sentence, "But heading back to St Petersburg also works. you can check which market rates are better, right, accounts?"

Ivan sighed. "I think we can make it before the storm hits.... How are our rations?" he asked, looking at the old sailor who had been in the storage.

(It sounds like he had locked the poor guy in there, lol)

(..can never be too sure)

"Easy enough, Ivy screwed up the maths/ forgot everything bought in bulk the first time, so you'll get some sort of compensation" he looked at the clouds, "It looks to be some sort of mist rather than a storm, it will simply block our vision"

"I don't think I see rocks of any sort, so I believe we may be okay..." Ivan said, squinting into the distance. "We'll set out to St Petersburg then! Let's pray we won't get lost."

They gave a nod and turned, the wind was in your favour and was blowing quickly against the sails. You had three options: Middle sea, the waves were slower but rougher here, partial way, this is where the pirates where and close to the coast - it could be hard to see where you were going and may crash if the clouds came in.
