Mio looked down at the page.
"This... This is horrible!" she whimpered, tears welling up in her eyes. She turned to look at Professor Sycamore. "How many failed before you made me?"
"None. You were perfect." he said.
"But... these... why aren't they perfect?" Mio asked.
"I don't know. I really don't" Sycamore sighed.
"Why?" Mio asked, turning to face Platinia.

"Well.... I don't know.... ah.... I guess. But this does not make me part of your team, got it?" Ashley said. Dusty climbed into her arms and nodded in agreement.

"We tried to make them perfect, but they didn't want to be, most of them died naturally, some didn't even come to life before they died," Platinia sighed "some of them weren't by forming right, despite all our attempts to correct it, we had to terminate them before their own suffering was their demise" She sighed. "There were also sabatoges" she snarled "those people who believe life shouldn't be tampered with, even though we're creating life, they killed innocent life forms because they believed they were unnatural" she shouted, her anger reaching the nearest experiment, causing it to react. The specimen opened her bright pink eyes before closing them again. Platinia's eyes lit up in joy when she saw the brief flash of pink eyes. She ran over to the tube "Lola? Can you hear me?" She asked, pressing herself against the tube. "Mommy's here, you might be able to come out soon, you will be our first official success!" She said to it "you have two siblings, an older sister and a younger brother" she told the unmoving buneary girl. "Can you speak? Will you try?" She asked it. The head scientist came over to Mio, Sycamore, and Steven. "You three should get going now, let her have her moment" he told them, ushering them out.

"Goodbye" Gaia spoke to Lola. Gaia knew, they were never going to let her out, they feared her potential power, but rather than terminating her, they left her to rot in a closely guarded room, no access to anywhere. She used her teleport attack, though she could only teleport a few feet once an hour, it was definitely worth the exhaustion after. She feebly stood on her knees, she was still at a ralt's phase, her skin was completely white, with a small drop of color, though with no comparison she appeared white. She had a naturally shaped light green bowl haircut, except for the hair that spiked up in then front that would glow when she sensed happy emotions from ones she cared for. She struggled with the air, though the transition hurt, she could breathe perfectly fine. Putting her arm up for support, she took her first steps. "This is something parents are supposed to care about" she whispered to herself. Her voice was silky, the most beautiful sound she had ever heard. Parents always fuss about a child's first steps, don't they? So where are mine, doesn't mommy love me? She thought to herself in the dark room.

"Right, of course" he said. "Do what you need to prepare, we leave in four days" he told her, standing up and walking out, headed into one of the training rooms. He sent out all his Pokmon, commanding their attacks with anger, driven from the loss of Tonni.

Ashley leaned up against a wall and slid to the floor. Dusty hopped into her lap and made a small noise from the back of his throat. Ashley pulled the card out of her pocket and stared at it absently for a moment. She sighed, got up, and left the building, towards the town.

Bibi stopped her attacks, walking over to Konnyr to attempt to comfort him, but it was no use. He apologized honestly, but told her they needed the training more than ever. He glanced at Ashley before she left.

"Hey, how would you feel about a trip to the top of my. Coronet?" Sylver asked Kai, when suddenly, a large tropius flew over head. "Lolani?" Both kids on the ground said in unison. The two have each other a confused look "how do you know my cousin?" Sylver asked him "I mean, I haven't seen her or her parents for years, but still, where did you meet my cousin?" She asked. Lolani was 15 years old, her family moved away one day, and no one saw them since, their dad's were brothers. "She was my neighbor" Kai told her. "What? Where did you guys even live?" Sylver asked. Kai just switched the topic. "Lolani, what are you doing here?" Kai asked her.

"I heard you guys were heading to mt. Coronet, I was heading there myself" she told them. "No thanks, we'll take the long route, it's good training" Sylver told her. Lolani nodded, taking off on her tropius.

Splinters flew out and Dusty stepped back away from the tree he had just demolished. Ashley stepped forward and smiled. "I think one more pokemon battle oughta do it!" She said enthusiastically. Dusty looked proud of himself. Slick was playing with some pinecones nearby, juggling them with his nose. It helped with speed and accuracy, plus the Sealeo enjoyed it.

A familiar Bibarel came out to see Ashely, a sad look matching her trainer's, who was still inside, training himself rather than his Pokmon. A vibrava named sandstorm landed on the bibarel's head, a sneasel and munchlax not following far behind.
