I can guarantee my design is like no one else's, because the theme is--spring cleaning!

Yes, there's nothing like chasing away the winter dirt, slush, and cobwebs with soap and water. Open the windows, even if it does let clouds of yellow pollen blow in. After all, pollen isn't dirt. Plus, it's proof that that spring has sprung--the plants are involved in romance!

When getting ready to do your spring cleaning, pull your hair away from your face and bind it into a braid or ponytail down your back. This keeps your hair cleaner and out of your eyes. You don't want to be trying to brush an annoying strand of hair back with a grubby or soapy hand--ouch! But feel free to use your prettiest hair clip!

Next, pull on your denim work clothes. You know, the sturdy ones you've owned forever, but they're still holding up, in spite of a few patches. For the toughest cleaning--taking down storm windows and things like that--you'll want to be sure to protect your hands with gloves (the kind that leave your fingertips free, so that you can also do delicate work). Wear a belt with all the tools you might need, so you can spend more time making your place beautiful for spring and less time trudging back and forth to the toolshed. Once you're dressed, pull on your good ol' Wellies, and you're almost ready to begin.

Almost? Why, yes. Mustn't forget the most important thing--recruit a helper! Monkeys are very good for this. They have more hands than you do, they don't mind dirt, they don't need ladders, they can clean in tight spaces, and you can pay them peanuts--or bananas. I recommend Micah as your helper. The other monkeys are just as clever and useful, but his dark coat won't show the dirt as badly. (It is easy to get a monkey to help you clean; not so easy to clean a monkey.)
